Job Description: The HR Coordinator is responsible for assisting the HR team with implementation and administration of policies and programs concerning; employee relations, benefits, development, compensation, payroll, recruitment, workers compensation, safety, performance management, legal compliance and EEO/affirmative action. This role provides transactional and administrative support for HR initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for employee data changes and payroll data in Workday which may include manager changes, new hires, terminations, shift differentials, promotions, organizational changes.
- Communicates benefit information to employees, enrolls employees and processes changes to their status, maintains employee benefits files, and supports Benefits Manager in investigates and resolves problems. Ensures compliance with government regulations and reporting requirements covering benefits area.
- Assists with the internal and external recruitment and employment process for posting jobs, scheduling interviews, and preboarding/onboarding process and supports management.
- Maintains Human Resources related records ensuring confidentiality and limited access according to procedure, posts notices, maintains records, investigates and resolves employee complaints and recommends changes necessary to achieve compliance.
- Provides support and backup in addressing safety and health incidents.
- Coordinates site specific events and initiatives such as employee recognition, company events, new hire orientation, training programs, volunteer events, St. Jude giving campaign, and other HR related projects.
Experience, Skills, Education:
- Associate’s Degree preferred, Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- 1-2 years previous HR experience required, preferably in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Workday HRIS system experience preferred
- Knowledge of human resources systems, policies, and practices required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe, Power Point required
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Skills Required
- 1-2 years of previous HR experience
- Knowledge of human resources systems, policies, and practices
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe, and PowerPoint
- Associate's degree
- Bachelor's degree
- Workday HRIS system experience
