How you will make a difference:
As our Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) you will provide professional HR guidance and support to assigned internal client groups with the objective of building a highly engaged workforce and reducing risk to the business. This is a hands-on role that provides full cycle Human Resources support to assigned business functions or regions (LATAM) within the organisation.
- Collaborate with talent acquisition and hiring managers to ensure LATAM teams are fully staffed, with clear role requirements, budgets, and priorities.
- Support job description updates, job offer processes, and collaborate with hiring managers on new roles.
- Manage a seamless onboarding experience to enhance culture, productivity, and retention.
- Serve as the primary HR contact for LATAM leadership on operational HR matters; escalate as needed.
- Coach managers to motivate, appraise, goal set, performance manage, and discipline employees; scheduling management conferences with employees; conducting disciplinary investigations; and counselling employees and supervisors as needed.
- Advise LATAM managers on consistent application of company policies, seeking legal support when necessary.
- Guide LATAM employees and managers through the exit process as needed.
- Assess HR needs in training, workforce planning, career development, and leadership, and create solutions.
- Partner with managers to support training initiatives in coordination with SGU.
- Ensure accurate payroll and benefits processing, working with local HR teams as needed.
- Ensure compliance with local HR legal requirements, maintaining accurate records and managing risks.
- Support HR Operations to ensure compliance with labor laws and proper documentation.
- Analyse business metrics, retention, and employee experience to recommend improvements.
- Assist in compensation and benefits analysis, including salary reviews and promotions.
- Provide HR analytics and support as required.
- Collaborate on employee engagement initiatives and implement innovative solutions to enhance retention.
- Contribute to the business strategy and culture by building organisational capabilities and structures.
- Promote Safeguard’s corporate values and act as an ambassador of company culture.
- Act as a trusted partner to LATAM leadership and collaborate within the global HR team.
- Maintain close coordination with other HR teams and business units.
- Lead or contribute to projects at both the corporate and business unit levels.
What will make you stand out:
- Fluent in both spoken and written business English.
- Expertise in HR Generalist/Business Partner functions, including employee relations, labor compliance and performance management.
- Degree in a relevant field is preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of local labor laws and the ability to quickly adapt to laws and practices across different countries.
- Strong customer service orientation and a positive attitude.
- Proven ability to:
- Communicate effectively, with strong verbal and written skills; provide counselling, influence, and coach employees at all levels; build relationships both vertically and horizontally.
- Analyse complex data and use insights to inform decision-making.
- Work with HRIS systems, including pulling reports and metrics. - Comfortable working both independently and as part of a global team to achieve results.
- Experience in managing cross-functional projects and initiatives.
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments, adapt to changing priorities, and guide employees through organisational changes.
- High level of integrity and the ability to maintain confidentiality while modelling ethical behaviour.
