The Human Resources Assistant maintains employee personnel files, coordinates new hire orientations, and assists the Human Resources Director with various administrative needs and projects as needed.
This is a full time, onsite, position located in Woodland Hills, California.
Compensation: $25.50/hr to $28.00/hr, dependent upon experience.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES:

Provides the highest level of service towards the employees, residents, and external customers.

Enters and maintains employment data and generates employee data reports in the Human Resources Information System (HRIS).

Maintains electronic employee personnel files, work permits, and other HR files. Coordinates New Hire Orientations that foster a positive first impression of the company. Assists the HR team with coordinating employee activities and events.

Conducts pre-screening activities including reviewing applications, telephone screening, and in-person screening. Confers with hiring managers regarding candidates and may conduct reference checks.

Researches and responds to employee questions relating to HR policies and procedures.

Assists the human resources team with various administrative needs and projects as needed. Projects could include recruiting, employee activities, training, and employment referrals.

Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.

1-2 years’ human resources experience preferred.

Experience with heavy call volume, multitasking, and general office duties.

Computer proficient using Microsoft Office.

Ability to communicate effectively in English and able to perform basic mathematics.

ADP Workforce Now proficiency a plus.

HR certificate a plus.
