Job Summary
The HR Analyst plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and optimization of all HR data and systems in support of one or more of Carnival Corporation’s privately owned and operated Global Destinations. This position is responsible for managing the end-to-end lifecycle of employee data, regardless of platform, and ensuring compliant timekeeping, reliable reporting, and efficient HR operations across the assigned destination(s).
The Analyst owns and administers current HR technology tools, including Oracle HCM and all associated modules as well as UKG for time and attendance, and will serve as the primary subject-matter expert for any HR system utilized to create, maintain, or report on employee data. As systems evolve, the Analyst will adapt and deepen expertise to ensure data integrity and operational consistency.
Key responsibilities include conducting regular data audits, identifying and resolving discrepancies in partnership with HR and Finance leaders, strengthening internal HR infrastructure through process and tool improvements, and providing exceptional support to people managers and team members. This role also serves as UKG System Administrator for supported destination(s), responsible for ensuring timely and accurate employee time and attendance processing for all departments as well as regularly partnership with payroll teams to ensure accuracy of payroll procedures.
Key Accountabilities / Job Functions
HR Data Management & Systems Integrity (Oracle HCM & UKG)
Maintain accurate, complete, and up-to-date employee and organizational data within Oracle HCM, ensuring data integrity, alignment, and consistency across all HR systems
Partner closely with Corporate HRIS, Corporate HR Operations, and regional HR teams on all system-related actions, including but not limited to organizational design changes, job and position creation, job code governance, module configuration, system enhancements, data corrections, audits, reporting requirements, and process changes. Ensure all actions follow established corporate governance, approval protocols, sequencing requirements, and data standards, while proactively communicating impacts, dependencies, and risks across systems and regions.
Serve as the local and regional point of coordination for HR system activity, ensuring requests, changes, and issue resolution are properly documented, approved, prioritized, and executed in partnership with Corporate HRIS and aligned with enterprise-wide standards.
Own and manage HR infrastructure configuration, including but not limited to departments, job codes, position codes, cost centers, reporting structures, supervisory hierarchies, and worker assignments, ensuring alignment between system design and approved organizational models
Ensure HR data and infrastructure are consistently aligned locally, regionally, and corporately, partnering closely with HR Analysts and HR partners across assigned regions to support standardization, governance, and scalability
Conduct regular and ad-hoc audits of employee data and organizational structures to proactively identify discrepancies, structural misalignments, errors, downstream impacts, or compliance gaps
Support the development, optimization, and ongoing governance of HR infrastructure through enhanced processes, workflows, data standards, and system controls
Partner with HR leadership to ensure organizational design changes, restructures, new departments, or role changes are accurately reflected and governed within Oracle HCM and downstream systems
Maintain and administer system roles, security profiles, and user access permissions in coordination with Corporate HR, Corporate UKG representatives, IT, and regional HR partners
Serve as a key point of escalation for system configuration, data integrity, or structural issues, coordinating resolution with Corporate Oracle HCM and UKG representatives
Maintain strong working knowledge of Oracle HCM architecture and dependencies, recognizing the downstream impact of data or structure changes across modules and systems
Time & Attendance Administration (UKG)
Serve as the primary administrator for UKG, ensuring accurate and compliant time and attendance records across all departments, locations, and regions
Ensure timekeeping configuration, reporting hierarchies, and supervisory assignments within UKG remain aligned with approved HR infrastructure in Oracle HCM
Monitor employee timecards daily to identify missed punches, paycode errors, incorrect labor allocations, leave misclassifications, or misaligned reporting relationships
Partner with managers and supervisors to resolve discrepancies in a timely manner and reinforce timekeeping accuracy and compliance standards
Ensure accurate leave classification, accruals, balances, and entitlement tracking within UKG and alignment with absence data in Oracle HCM
Support managers and supervisors with schedule building, timecard management, system navigation, and interpretation of timekeeping rules and policies
Ensure reporting hierarchies, department mappings, and supervisory approvals remain accurate and are updated promptly following organizational or personnel changes
Enforce weekly timecard approval deadlines and follow up on late or incomplete approvals as needed
Deliver ongoing system training, guidance, and support to UKG users, adapting training as system functionality or processes evolve
Reporting & Recordkeeping
Prepare, maintain, and distribute recurring and ad-hoc HR, workforce, labor, organizational, and compliance reports for leaders, HR partners, and regional stakeholders
Own reporting across all relevant Oracle HCM modules, including but not limited to Core HR, Oracle Recruiting Cloud (ORC), Performance & Goals, Absence Management, Compensation, and other deployed modules, ensuring accuracy and consistency of outputs
Provide timely, accurate reporting and insights to HR leadership and business leaders to support workforce planning, decision-making, audits, and compliance requirements
Validate data inputs and outputs across systems to ensure accuracy of hours worked, labor allocation, leave usage, performance data, recruiting metrics, and compensation-related reporting
Respond to employee, manager, and HR inquiries related to system data, reporting outputs, or discrepancies across Oracle HCM and UKG
Develop, document, maintain, and continuously update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to HR systems, data governance, reporting standards, organizational structure maintenance, and timekeeping processes
Administrative, Compliance & Customer Service
Maintain strict confidentiality and data security standards when handling employee, organizational, and payroll-sensitive information
Support onboarding, job changes, and employee lifecycle events related to system setup, including user access, job and position assignments, reporting relationships, and module-specific configurations within Oracle HCM and UKG
Ensure ongoing compliance with Celebration Key and Carnival policies, labor standards, timekeeping regulations, and HR data governance requirements
Deliver professional, responsive, and solutions-oriented internal customer service to employees, people leaders, HR partners, and cross-functional stakeholders
Maintain flexibility and adaptability as HR systems, tools, and technologies evolve, proactively developing expertise in new or updated HR platforms, modules, or reporting tools as they are introduced
Perform additional duties as assigned by the Senior HR Manager or Director
Performs other duties as assigned.
