About the role:

Are you passionate about accurate, high‑quality payroll that really impacts people’s everyday lives? Do you enjoy working with numbers and processes?

As Payroll Administrator, you will be part of a HR payroll team supporting our UK & Ireland organisation. You will help ensure that all colleagues are paid accurately and on time, contributing directly to an excellent employee experience.

You will work with complex and largely manual payroll processes, handling a variety of schemes and calculations across both white‑collar and blue‑collar populations.

As you grow in confidence and knowledge, you will gradually take on more responsibility and, in the future, rotate between payroll processing and payroll reporting activities in regular cycles.

What you will do:

  • Payroll Processing: Support end‑to‑end payroll processing for UK & Ireland colleagues, ensuring all data is complete, accurate and delivered in line with internal deadlines and legal requirements.

  • Data Management: Maintain and update employee data across payroll and HR systems, performing regular checks to secure data quality and alignment between HR and payroll records.

  • Manual Calculations: Perform manual calculations for complex elements, statutory payments and sickness schemes, following defined rules and processes.

  • Reporting & Controls: Prepare and review payroll reports, reconciliations and checks to identify discrepancies, support audits and ensure compliance with internal controls and policies.

  • Query Resolution: Respond to payroll‑related queries from employees, managers and HR, providing clear explanations and timely follow‑up to ensure a positive employee experience.

  • Collaboration with Providers: Work closely with external payroll and system providers (e.g. ADP GlobalView) and internal stakeholders to resolve issues and continuously improve processes.

  • Continuous Improvement: Contribute ideas to streamline payroll routines, enhance tools and documentation, and support future moves towards more efficient and digital ways of working.

Who you are:

  • Proven track record of managing complex payrolls, consistently meeting fixed monthly deadlines.

  • Skilled in using Excel on a daily basis and experience with payroll/HR systems.

  • Familiarity with ADP GlobalView and Workday is a strong advantage.

  • You combine strong attention to detail and accuracy, process-focused way of working, managing deadlines and building positive relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.

  • Fluent in English - All Applicants are requested to deliver their CV in English language.
