Introduction to the TeamTravel Partnerships and Advertising helps partners, including hotels, airlines, destination marketing organizations and more, deliver excellent traveler and B2B experiences. We drive growth for our partners and the Expedia Group marketplace through competitive supply, our leading advertising and travel media network and affiliate solutions.
Within the Hotel Partner Solution team, you will help maintain reliable services and improve technical solutions that support hotel partners and Expedia Group’s global marketplace. You will collaborate across technical and business teams to investigate complex issues, strengthen operational processes and deliver improvements that enhance partner and traveler experiences.
Key ResponsibilitiesIn this role, you will:
- Support day-to-day operations in 24x7 production or equivalent technical environments.
- Lead investigations and remediation for high-impact service disruptions and complex operational issues.
- Analyze data, system patterns and precedents to identify underlying causes and recommend preventative solutions.
- Configure and operate cloud infrastructure using automation, Infrastructure as Code and operational tooling.
- Monitor, test and improve code and technical solutions within continuous integration and deployment environments.
- Lead small, well-defined technical projects in partnership with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Participate in technology and infrastructure initiatives, contributing to delivery plans and technical assessments.
- Prepare concise, balanced and evidence-based incident reports and communicate work status clearly.
- Identify chronic issues and product opportunities through data analysis and stakeholder collaboration.
- Develop and maintain support documentation, standards and procedures for technical teams.
- Mentor junior analysts and share knowledge, guidance and effective troubleshooting practices.
- Identify process improvements that enhance organizational efficiency, customer satisfaction and employee experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, engineering or a related technical field; or equivalent related professional experience.
- Relevant experience in technical operations, production support, infrastructure or a similar environment.
- Experience investigating and resolving complex technical issues, including service disruptions.
- Broad knowledge of infrastructure services and moderately complex systems.
- Experience with observability, operational tools, cloud infrastructure and automation.
- Understanding of Infrastructure as Code, software development principles, APIs and data-access patterns.
- Experience working in continuous integration and continuous deployment environments.
- Ability to analyze data, identify patterns and translate complex information into clear, actionable recommendations.
- Proficient communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across disciplines and with varied stakeholder groups.
- Ability to work both collaboratively and autonomously in a production environment.
- Master’s degree in a relevant technical field.
- Experience with AWS or other major cloud platforms.
- AWS Associate certification or equivalent.
- CompTIA Network+ certification or equivalent.
- A+ certification or equivalent.
- Experience with at least one programming language and operational scripting.
- Experience mentoring colleagues or leading technical investigations and process improvements.
Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
