HIH - Cloud Engineering Advisor
Position Overview
As a key member of the team, the candidate will work in a highly Agile environment to develop, execute, validate, and maintain a suite of integrated software products. The candidate must have a strong passion for technology and a continuous drive to enhance personal expertise. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams, collaborating to design and implement scalable solutions. The candidate should be comfortable taking ownership of technical solutions, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality software.
Responsibilities:
• Design and develop scalable and robust solutions while considering security, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
• Work with product owners and stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Actively participate in Agile ceremonies and collaborate with team members to ensure smooth delivery.
• Develop, test, and maintain applications while ensuring high performance and responsiveness.
• Conduct thorough code reviews and adhere to best coding practices.
• Support automation efforts, including CI/CD, testing frameworks, and DevOps pipelines.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in collaboration with application teams.
• Provide clear and actionable documentation for solutions and implementations.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to knowledge-sharing initiatives.
• Focus on continuous learning and staying up to date with new technologies.
Skills & Preferred Qualifications:
• Strong programming experience in Java with a deep understanding of best practices.
• Hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Python, and Node.js.
• Experience in microservices architecture and cloud-native development.
• Familiarity with containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Proficiency in version control and CI/CD tools like Git and Jenkins.
• Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.
• Understanding of cloud services such as AWS (S3, Lambda, VPC, Aurora, Glue) is a plus.
• Knowledge of API development and integration using RESTful services.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to document technical solutions clearly.
Required Experience & Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 10 to 12 years of hands-on experience in software development.
• Experience in designing and developing scalable enterprise applications.
• Exposure to working in Agile teams and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset.
