Job Description: The Heat Treat lead provides process direction to the operational activities of the Heat Treat Department with the objective of providing quality products with efficient and safe efforts; as well as day-to-day leadership and good communication to all Heat Treat personnel, in addition to any other assigned departments.  

 Responsibilities:

• Verifying equipment is set up properly
• Verifying personnel are performing tasks properly and following procedures
• Ensure safety procedures are being followed
• Ensure a clean working area is maintained
• Work with maintenance to continuously improve equipment and plan projects
• Communicating quality issues to the quality supervisor 
• Help operators with changeovers and perform maintenance
• Making sure the equipment is ready for the upcoming product
• Troubleshoot maintenance issues to keep equipment running
• Cover personnel’s vacations or call-offs.

Operation and basic maintenance of gas-powered industrial furnaces.  Familiarity with API 5CT products preferred. Must demonstrate familiarity with care and operation of basic gauges and measurement devices.  Must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
