Job DescriptionAs Health Innovation Manager, you will lead compliant, high-impact healthcare innovation collaborations with external stakeholders across the Czech Republic and Slovakia to identify unmet needs, shape differentiated solutions, and deliver measurable improvements in patient care and standards of care. The role is accountable for strengthening AbbVie’s position as a trusted strategic partner in healthcare innovation, while ensuring all activities are fully aligned with the AbbVie Code of Conduct, internal policies, and all applicable laws and regulations.
The Healthcare Innovation Manager plays a strategic leadership role in translating external healthcare needs, market insights, and business priorities into impactful innovation strategies and partnerships. The role partners closely with the Immunology Business Unit Director, IFTs, and Brand Teams to shape and execute both short- and long-term healthcare innovation priorities across CZ & SK.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and drive the healthcare innovation agenda for CZ & SK in alignment with business priorities, patient needs, and AbbVie’s ambition to raise standards of care.
- Build a deep understanding of the healthcare landscape, including the complexities, pressures, and opportunities facing key external stakeholders such as HCPs, HICs, RVE managers, pharmacists, and other relevant partners.
- Translate unmet needs and healthcare landscape insights into a prioritized portfolio of strategically aligned healthcare innovation initiatives with clear objectives, milestones, and measurable outcomes.
- Identify, shape, and advance strategic win-win collaborations with key external stakeholders to improve patient care and support AbbVie’s ambition to raise standards of care.
- Lead the development, governance, and execution of external stakeholder initiatives focused on improving patient care in CZ & SK.
- Lead and sustain strategic healthcare innovation collaborations with external stakeholders, ensuring strong alignment with AbbVie’s values, compliance standards, and long-term objectives.
- Strengthen AbbVie’s reputation as a trusted, credible, and innovative partner for collaborations that improve standards of care.
- Anticipate and manage the cross-functional impact of changes in the external environment, working with IFTs and Brand Teams to inform future business priorities and strategic planning.
- Lead cross-functional alignment with IFTs and Brand Teams on healthcare innovation initiatives across short-, medium-, and long-term horizons.
- Own portfolio tracking, impact measurement, and optimization of healthcare innovation initiatives to maximize value for patients and the organization.
- Lead cross-functional project teams and coach contributors involved in healthcare innovation initiatives, influencing without direct line authority.
- Ensure all collaborations, activities, and communications are conducted in full compliance with applicable laws, internal policies, and the AbbVie Code of Conduct.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in health innovation, public health, medicine, pharmacy, business, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
- Demonstrated track record of operating with integrity and adherence to compliance standards in a highly regulated environment.
- Deep understanding of the healthcare landscape and evolving market, policy, and stakeholder dynamics in CZ & SK.
- Proven ability to build trusted relationships and influence effective collaboration with key stakeholders in a matrix environment.
- Strong strategic thinking with the ability to translate ambiguity and unmet needs into actionable priorities and measurable outcomes.
- Ability to manage complexity, ambiguity, and a portfolio of interdependent priorities.
