Control Systems develops the thermal and motion control systems that help aircraft take off, land safely and protect the people on board. With more than 10 million passengers per day flying on aircraft equipped with our products and more than 75% of commercial flights beginning with our engine start systems, Control Systems reaches farther across the aviation industry than most people realize.
We are currently seeking a Lead Electronic Design Engineer to join our Electro-Mechanical Flight Control Actuation team. You will become part of a team delivering safety critical and complex control units for various types of Urban Air Mobility aircraft platforms that are shaping the future of the aerospace industry.
In Honeywell Aerospace Brno, we have been building center of excellence in Flight control Actuation Systems constituting a huge opportunity to participate in technology edge development projects enabling career growth.
You will encompass the complete product design and development life cycle including, requirements development, concept design, implementation, build and verification. You will cooperate closely with local project and technical leadership and support US team in integration of the control units with actuators and delivery of the system solutions to the customers.
This is a hybrid role, 3 days at the office + 2 days work from home model.
Responsibilities- Lead Electronic HW team developing control units for Electro-Mechanical Flight Control Actuation Systems (8+ engineers)
- Being an architect of HW box development
- Cooperate closely with the project leadership and all other function groups (System, Mechanical, Software, Test Services, Safety Eng) involved in development and manufacture of controllers
- Participate in creating project estimates
- Through robust planning and execution excellence, ensure on-time delivery on commitments
- Distribute tasks within the team, monitor and report status to the project leadership, stakeholders and customers
- Participating in the creation of HW requirements specification and verification
- Mentor / coach junior designers
- Solid engineering background in Electronics domain, be familiar with whole development lifecycle of the products containing the electronic HW (PBAs) – at least 5 years’ experience
- Experience with leading electronic HW team
- Ability to make decisions while fully taking responsibility for the associated risks
- Strong organizational skills and analytical ability, self – starter, motivated to take initiative and able to work independently
- Excellent command of English language; Excellent communications skills

Skills Required
