At any given time, 16 million Americans are experiencing a serious injury or illness that requires urgent help from the legal system or the government. For many, it’s not just a health crisis – it’s the start of a bureaucratic nightmare. The right help could change their lives, but many never get it.
Atticus exists to change that.
We're a new kind of law firm that helps sick, injured, and wronged Americans access the benefits designed to protect them — from Social Security disability insurance to workers' comp to insurance settlements. In six years, we've helped hundreds of thousands of people access more than $10 billion in life-changing aid, but our work is far from complete.
We've raised over $100 million from Fika, Forerunner, GV, and True Ventures. We closed our Series C in April 2025, so we're well-funded and investing in growth.
About the role
As the Head of Web and Organic Growth, you'll own our digital front door, including the homepage, vertical landing pages, our blog, and lead-magnets. You'll set the strategy to bring prospective clients to Atticus.com from organic and AI search. You’ll decide what they read, what they trust, and how they move from learning about Atticus to talking with one of our client advocates. You'll write the briefs that shape our blog content and the requirements that drive our SEO and GEO prominence. You'll work closely with our editorial team to commission content that ranks and genuinely helps people in need.
This is a high-leverage seat. Our prospective clients often find us months or even years before they're ready to apply for benefits. Your job, together with our Growth Marketing and Product teams, is to make sure we're useful to them the entire time, so that when they're ready, Atticus is the obvious choice.
As we expand into new verticals, you’ll partner with our vertical GMs and Growth Product team to evolve our core site experience into one that delivers for each of our vertical audiences.
You’ll be successful in this role if…
You’ve spent 6-9 years in digital marketing, with at least 3 in a lead role owning a website P&L or equivalent
You’ve delivered demonstrable wins in SEO and content-led growth, ideally at a DTC brand with a long consideration cycle (health, wellness, fintech, education, legal services). If you can point to organic traffic charts that go up and to the right and tell us exactly why, we want to talk.
You have strong conversion chops. You've A/B tested landing pages, rebuilt funnels, and have strong opinions about what makes a vertical landing page convert. You can defend those opinions with data.
You have fluency in GEO/AEO. Search is changing fast. You're already thinking about AI Overviews, LLM citations, and what discovery looks like in 2027.
You are a strong writer. Not because you'll write every article, but because the brief is the artifact that determines whether content wins. Yours need to be excellent.
Comfort partnering with lifecycle. This role is not a silo. The best work here happens at the seam between digital and lifecycle, and you should be excited about that.
AI-native instincts. You should feel like this job is twice as possible with the AI tooling available today than it was two years ago.
The work matters. Every conversion is a person who needs help finding legal representation to move forward.
You'll have real ownership. This is the senior digital seat reporting to the CMO, and the website is yours to shape.
You'll be surrounded by serious operators. Stanford- and Harvard-trained lawyers, an experienced exec team, and a marketing organization that takes craft seriously.
We're well-funded and growing fast. $100M+ raised, hundreds of thousands of clients served, and a clear path to category leadership.
Remote-first with real connection. HQ in LA, team distributed across the US, with regular travel for in-person work.
We are strongly committed to building a diverse team. If you’re from a background that’s underrepresented in tech, we’d love to meet you.
This is a rare opportunity to join a startup that has strong traction (substantial funding, well-respected backers, tremendous growth, and many happy customers) but is still small enough that you can have a huge impact and play a role in shaping our culture.
We’re a certified B Corporation tackling a critical social problem. Our mission to help people in need drives everything we do, and your work here will touch many lives.
We offer competitive pay — including equity — and generous benefits:
Medical and dental insurance with 100% of employee premiums covered
15 vacation days & ~20 paid holidays each year (including two weeks at end-of-year)
Free membership to OneMedical
$600/year reimbursable stipend for internet service
$1,000 reimbursable stipend for education and training outside of work
Up to $1,200/year student loan repayment assistance
401(k) and optional HSA/FSA
Humble, thoughtful, smart, fun colleagues
We anticipate the base salary band for this role will be between $145,000 to $180,000 in addition to equity and benefits. The salary at offer will be determined by a number of factors such as candidate’s experience, knowledge, skills and abilities, as well as internal equity among our team.
LocationThis job is fully remote and we’re committed to empowering everyone with flexibility. Work remotely, and travel to LA (on the company dime) as needed to be with your colleagues – usually quarterly, plus offsites. We care a lot about building a great culture and we think some interactions need to happen in person, so we put a lot of thought into retreats, offsites, and other ways to gather.

What We Do
At any given time, 16 million Americans are experiencing a crisis that requires urgent help from our legal system or government. The right assistance could transform their lives. But today, most never get it. Atticus makes it easy for any sick or injured person in crisis to get the life-changing aid they deserve. In just three years, we’ve become the leading platform connecting people with disabilities to government benefits. We also help victims of accidents, misconduct, and violence get compensation from insurance. So far, we’ve gotten thousands of people access to over $4B in life-changing aid, and we’re just getting started. We've helped more than 110,000 people in need (see our 13,000+ five-star reviews) and raised more than $100 million from top VC firms like Forerunner, GV (Google Ventures), and True Ventures. (We just closed our Series C round in April 2025, so we're well-funded for the foreseeable future.)
Why Work With Us
We've helped over 110,000 families in crisis to claim over $4 billion in lifetime benefits. We make money when we win for clients, government or an insurer pays us a share. Anyone can afford us, and our incentives are 100% aligned with our clients. We’re legally a B Corp, bound by law to pursue our specific social mission. That won't ever change.
