Why be a Head of Strategy at THG?

As a Head of Strategy, you will be playing a key role in helping those plans come to fruition. You’re going to get exposure to a range of stakeholders and cross functional teams, designing strategies and solutions, solving a range of problems whilst driving growth and innovation for Ingenuity clients.

As Head of Strategy, you’ll be responsible for:

Strategic Proposition Development: Delivery of client ecommerce propositions and business cases from proposal to implementation

Client Strategic Planning: Working with the customer success function to support in the development of client strategic growth plans, ensuring alignment with business goals and market trends.

Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, competitive landscape, and potential growth opportunities for the division.

Collaboration: Work closely with the Strategy Director and departmental heads to align strategies across the division and ensure successful execution of initiatives.

Innovation Leadership: Foster a culture of innovation within the team and division, encouraging creative thinking and the exploration of new business models and technologies.


What skills and experience do I need for this role?

  • Proven experience in a senior strategy, consulting or similar role within the ecommerce industry or a related tech field.
  • Strong understanding of market dynamics, competitive analysis, and business development.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of influencing and engaging stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience in leading cross-functional teams and managing complex projects.
