About the Role:

We are looking for a relentless Sales Leader to own direct sales for Ohalo products. Ohalo is actively launching direct-to-farmer sales of the world’s first true potato seed (TPS) in the US via a direct sales organization and beginning early direct sales with large growers (Top Producers) outside the US. 

You will be responsible for setting goals, defining intervening sales milestones and processes needed to achieve those goals, recruiting the best people to help deliver those goals, and actively managing them to success. This will include developing top-of-funnel and stepwise conversion metrics, determining regions and team composition, identifying sourcing methods, and helping define scripts, language, and tactics to drive sales results.  

Ohalo is transforming the 50M+ acre global potato market with the world’s first true potato seed, reducing production expenses by 40%+ by eliminating machinery, fuel, storage, and input costs, while delivering ever-improving yields with novel Ohalo hybrids. You can help lead this transformation by building, organizing, and managing the farmer-facing team that will help drive this once-in-a-generation opportunity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver 2026 and 2027 US sales outcomes. Ohalo has launched a Founders Farm program to engage early adopters in 2026 and is scaling farms and acres in 2027, with a sales cycle beginning in the summer of 2026. 
  • Source, close, and manage international growers. Key international markets with large growers will be handled by a Top Producer sales managers you will be responsible for recruiting and engaging.  
  • Define the targets: US and international sales outcomes require intervening goals and steps. You will help define these goals and steps, in partnership with the operations, product, and leadership teams. 
  • Set the segments and build the team: Determine the optimal regions, headcount per region, and costs to deliver the target outcomes. You will then recruit, train, and manage your team. 
  • Farmer Relationship Management: Ensure farmer expectations are set and met. Work with your team and Commercial Operations to deliver success for farmers. 
  • Performance Reporting: Provide the leadership team with detailed sales pipeline and performance data with clear, data-driven forecasting and a "no-excuses" approach to hitting milestones.
  • Market Intelligence: Deeply understand the market landscape and grower pain points to effectively position TPS as the transformative alternative to traditional seed potato.
Qualifications & Experience
  • 12+ years experience, with a proven track record of exceeding aggressive revenue targets in the agricultural sector.
  • Successfully built and managed a national sales team, ideally during a high-growth "hyper-scale" phase.
  • Experience working with “top producer” growers in international markets.
  • Detail-oriented and process-driven. You do not shoot from the hip but treat sales outcomes as methodically driven with clear milestones and processes to drive success.  
  • Strong management philosophies that tie to driving your team to deliver sales outcomes. 
  • Strong recruiting ability - can identify and sell top talent to join the team. 
  • Willing to be in the field, in the boardroom, and across the country/world—wherever you are needed.
  • You are motivated by helping farmers with novel groundbreaking technology and the opportunity to change a multi-billion dollar industry.
