Key responsibilities
• Strategy, Policy and Planning
o Identifies, formulates and designs long term strategic direction goals and objectives in line
with group guidelines.
o Establishes both annual and monthly sales objectives in coordination with the Company’s
business plan
o Provides an annual sales plan and provides quarterly updates, revisions, and modifications
to the plan
o Coordinates the specific objectives of the sales plan with all the functional departments of
the company
• Sales Execution
o Provides direction to the Sales Department
o Works closely with the members of the sales team to ensure the most effective use of
resource is upheld to meet targets and objectives across sales.
o Manages the needs of the customers in order to meet the objectives of the company’s
overall business plan and strategies
o Manages the sales function of the company
o Oversees the development and implementation of initiatives to achieve listings, product
availability and visibility targets.
o Leads in the achievement of the targeted Sales Revenue.
o Builds a marketing and sales plan to deliver the required brand awareness that leads to
increase in revenue generation.
o Sets Revenue targets for the team in line with the overall company revenue plan.
o Develops and continuously evaluate the effectiveness of sales processes and systems.
o Oversees the development of a sales pipeline, proactively manages and tracks the
team’s performance.
o Oversees the management of critical client accounts to enhance revenue.
o Provides
recommendations
based on
understanding of competitor
offerings as well as global best practice and technological advancements to ensure eco
cash and future mobile money products are competitive in a view to enhance revenue.
• Leadership and Management
o Develops the necessary plan/s to ensure that the team meets its agreed goals and
objectives, meets direct reports on a weekly basis, identifies and agrees key result areas,
key objectives/tasks and action plans.
o Ensures that all staff are trained, developed to allow succession planning.
o Contributes to the commercial budget.
o Uses research, insight and business information to generate initiatives and proposals
that will elevate customers’ experience.
o Working with the HR Office, provides leadership and direction in the development of the
team, ensuring consistency, fairness throughout to realize a highly motivated sale.
o Any other tasks as assigned by the management from time to time.
Requirements
Knowledge and Experience
• Degree in Sales, Marketing or equivalent.
• At least 10 years ‘experience in a similar
or related environment, 5 years should be
in Senior Management position
• Experience in telecoms, e-commerce,
software, finance or other related
industries preferable
• Experience working in Emerging Markets
required
• Highly results and performance oriented.
• Awareness of the telecoms and the ICT
industry and the impact it has on the
customer organization.
• Business knowledge
• Must have a robust and direct
management style and a natural leader
• Good communication and interpersonal
skills
• Must be a team builder, team leader and
team player, a logical and pragmatic
problem solver with excellent negotiation
skills
Skills Required
- Degree in Sales, Marketing or equivalent
