Job DescriptionWe are recruiting for a Head of Sales who will be responsible for business development & account management, including cross selling and technical support, of SGS services related to C&P testing. This role requires commercial strategic planning and marketing to develop new customers, expand existing accounts, improve sales performance and conversion.
The successful individual will manage the C&P UK sales team, set the strategy and monitor their performance in line with business needs and ensure the team are equipped to cross sell across all business lines.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the UK C&P sales strategy, drive value-led growth, manage pricing, and contribute to forecasting and planning.
- Generate new business revenues and develop commercial strategy for SGS to meet budgetary and strategic goals
- Effectively support existing key customers with account management and customer service support and technical input as required
- Identify and react to new and developing market, competitor, and regulatory developments to ensure SGS takes advantage of all commercial opportunities
- Travel as required for meetings and presentation
The successful applicant will have an in depth understanding of the C&P market or a similar transferrable market sector, along with a strong sales focus with a drive to succeed in identifying and securing new business.
You will also have the following:
- Commercial acumen, able to establish need and create value price models against needs
- Able to sell ‘services’ rather than ‘physical products’
- Significant experience in a highly technical B2B environment
- Full clean driving licence for use in the UK
- Willingness to travel, stay away overnight as and when required, potentially internationally
