The Head of Marketing LATAM is accountable for defining and executing the end-to-end regional marketing strategy across all portfolios and markets in Latin America. The role ensures that strategy, brand, portfolio priorities, launch excellence, omnichannel execution, and performance management are fully integrated, scalable, and value-creating across countries.
The position balances strong base business management, ensuring sustainable performance of established portfolios, while progressively preparing the organization, capabilities, and ways of working for upcoming launches and innovation.
The role owns the end-to-end new product launch strategy across LATAM, from early asset assessment and business case development to launch readiness and execution. It ensures strong cross-functional coordination with Regulatory, Medical, Corporate Affairs, Market Access, Finance, and Commercial teams) aligning global, cluster and local priorities to secure a discipled, timely, and value-creating path for future launches.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategy and Portfolio Leadership
- Define the LATAM marketing strategy aligned with regional business objectives and global priorities.
- Lead portfolio segmentation and prioritization across Countries/LATAM core therapeutical areas, and lifecycle products.
- Drive clear choices on where to invest, grow, defend, optimize, or exit.
- Ensure tight linkage between marketing strategy, financial planning, and resource allocation.
- Ensure disciplined base business strategies while building launch readiness and innovation capabilities.
- Own new product launch strategy, launch excellence governance and building sustained launch readiness and innovation capabilities.
Customer and Market Insights
- Own customer understanding across channels, segments, and markets.
- Lead market intelligence, competitive analysis, and opportunity sizing.
- Translate insights into actionable strategies for positioning, messaging, and go-to-market models.
- Promote a strong insight-to-action culture across countries.
Brand and Value Management
- Ensure consistent brand strategy, positioning, and value propositions across LATAM.
- Balance global brand standards with local relevance and executional excellence.
- Drive brand performance, equity, and ROI accountability.
- Oversee pricing, value communication, and access narratives in collaboration with Commercial and Access teams.
Omnichannel and Marketing Execution
- Define the cluster omnichannel vision, capabilities, and standards.
- Ensure integration of field force, digital, content, campaigns, and customer journeys.
- Drive consistency, efficiency, and scalability of marketing execution.
- Continuously evolve digital tools to attend customer requirements.
Performance Management and Analytics
- Establish clear KPIs for marketing effectiveness, ROI, and execution quality.
- Leverage analytics, dashboards, and insights to drive decisions and course corrections.
- Promote a performance-driven mindset across cluster and local marketing teams.
Organization and capability building
- Lead and develop the LATAM marketing organization, including cluster and country teams.
- Define roles, governance, and ways of working across markets.
- Build capabilities in strategy, analytics, omnichannel, launches, and brand leadership.
- Act as a role model for collaboration, accountability, and leadership maturity.

Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration, life sciences, or a related field. An MBA or equivalent postgraduate education is strongly preferred.
- Senior marketing leadership experience in pharmaceuticals or healthcare, ideally at regional or multi-country level.
- Proven track record managing complex portfolios, launches, and mature brands.
- Experience across both innovative and established products.
- Experience working in matrix, global–regional–local environments.
- Strong experience leading cross-functional and high performing teams, delivering results while operating with integrity and compliance.
- Full professional proficiency in English, Portuguese and Spanish desired, with the ability to operate effectively in a senior cluster leadership context.
