As Head of Group Accounting (f/m/d), you will assume both functional and disciplinary leadership of our Group Accounting team and take responsibility for key areas of international financial and group accounting. Together with your team, you will support our international subsidiaries and ensure reliable group-wide financial reporting, high-quality financial data, and efficient closing processes. In addition, you will contribute to the further development of our Group Accounting standards, continuously improve our accounting and reporting processes, and actively shape the future development of the department.
Job Description- Provide functional and disciplinary leadership to the Group Accounting team and support its continuous development
- Take responsibility for supporting and advising our international subsidiaries on accounting and reporting matters
- Manage and coordinate monthly and annual closing processes while ensuring high data quality and compliance with group-wide accounting and reporting standards
- Contribute to the budgeting process
- Prepare and further develop financial reports, financial KPIs, and variance analyses, and provide relevant information to support management decision-making
- Continuously optimize, digitalize, and standardize accounting and reporting processes
- Lead and contribute to cross-functional finance projects and support the further development of relevant systems and processes
- Completed higher-level commercial education (e.g. business college, university, or university of applied sciences) or a comparable qualification in accounting, financial reporting, finance, or a related field
- Several years of relevant professional experience in accounting, group accounting, or corporate controlling, ideally within an internationally operating company
- Leadership experience and a strong interest in supporting the professional and personal development of employees
- Sound knowledge of accounting and financial reporting as well as experience with monthly and annual financial statements
- Strong understanding of financial processes, financial reporting, and broader business and financial relationships
- Very good Excel skills; experience with SAP FI/CO is an advantage
- Very good command of German and English, combined with a structured, analytical, and solution-oriented approach and strong communication skills

We offer a fair and market-aligned salary based on the collective agreement for employees in the metal trade – adjusted to the regional conditions of the Styrian labor market.
