The role
Raydar is recruiting for this opportunity through the Paraform network. The position is with our client. Lead and scale engineering as Head of Engineering while staying hands-on. The role is approximately half production coding and half team leadership, architecture, and technical direction.
What you'll do
- Build and grow the engineering team.
- Ship production code alongside the engineers you lead.
- Own AI strategy and production multi-agent systems.
- Contribute to product priorities and user-experience decisions.
- Set technical architecture and platform direction as the business expands.
- Build reliable evaluations and observability for AI capabilities.
Requirements
What we're looking for
- 7 to 15 years of relevant software engineering experience.
- Recent early-stage startup experience.
- Current hands-on production coding ability.
- Experience building and leading an engineering team.
- Experience shipping production AI or ML with robust evaluations and observability.
- A technical degree and strong enterprise architecture plus product judgment.
Bonus points
- Fintech, identity, KYC/KYB, fraud, or risk experience.
- Experience in regulated or compliance-heavy software.

Compensation and benefits
- Base salary: USD 250,000 to 300,000 per year.
- Equity: Up to 5%.
