Our client is a leading bank in Vietnam who is looking for a qualified candidate to join their firm:

1. Data Architecture Strategy and Governance
  • Accountable for defining action plans related to Data Architecture and associated strategic initiatives.
  • Accountable for establishing governance frameworks, operating procedures, and supporting documentation for Data Architecture activities, including the Data Architecture Board (DAB) / Design Approval Board.

2. Enterprise Data Architecture Design and Delivery

  • Accountable for defining and proposing the target Enterprise Data Architecture for VPBank at the conceptual design level.
  • Accountable for designing target data architecture solutions for specific Change Requests (CRs) and projects at the logical and physical design levels.
  • Collaborate with teams within the Enterprise Data Architecture function and relevant stakeholders to deliver data-related initiatives, projects, and change requests.
  • Provide strategic advisory to senior management on emerging data technologies and recommend suitable solutions for VPBank.
3. Quality Management, Operational Excellence, and Continuous Improvement
  • Ultimately accountable for establishing quality assurance and control mechanisms, as well as overseeing and approving work execution outcomes.
  • Ultimately accountable for measuring team performance and continuously improving processes, productivity, and operational efficiency.

4. Talent and Team Management

  • Ultimately accountable for talent and team management within Enterprise Architecture.
  • Ultimately accountable for talent and team management within Data Architecture.
  • Ultimately accountable for talent and team management in other architecture-related disciplines as assigned.

5. Additional Responsibilities

  • Lead and deliver special projects and strategic initiatives assigned by senior management.

Requirements

1. Educational Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Information Technology, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or other related disciplines.

2. Relevant Knowledge / Expertise

  • Strong knowledge of modern data architecture models, including Data Lake, Data Warehouse, and Data Lakehouse.
  • Strong knowledge of data governance, data management, data integration, and database engineering.
  • Strong expertise in data modeling, including 3NF Modeling, Dimensional Modeling, Data Vault Modeling, and NoSQL Modeling.
  • Strong knowledge of database technologies such as SQL, NoSQL, Oracle, Hadoop, and other related platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of data processing technologies, including ETL/ELT frameworks and data engineering languages/tools such as Spark, Python, and Scala.

  • Experience in data warehousing, data modeling, and/or data analytics.
  • Experience managing projects and teams of 20+ members.
  • Experience managing budgets, costs, productivity, and delivery timelines.
  • Strong capability in solving complex business and technology problems while maximizing organizational value.
  • Experience working with and managing technology vendors and partners.
  • Experience in talent development, coaching, and capability building.
  • Proven track record in process and system improvement initiatives.

5. Required Competencies

  • Professional proficiency in English, including listening, speaking, reading, and writing.
  • Strong learning agility with the ability to research, adopt, and apply emerging technologies.
  • Strong planning, adaptability, change management, and leadership capabilities.
