The Position
We are seeking a strategic and results-oriented Head of Access Strategy & Value to lead our access excellence in reimbursement and drive the development of innovative solutions that ensure optimal access to our portfolio of products and services ensuring recognition in the value of our innovative medicines. As a leader, you hold the crucial responsibility of enhancing the skills and capabilities of your team members through continuous development and personalized coaching. Reporting to the General Manager, you are a member and strategic contributor of Roche Slovenia Leadership Team.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in market access, health economics, policy, and strategic planning within the healthcare industries.
Career Opportunities and Challenges
- Lead Access Strategy Development, define and execute strategies to ensure optimal market access for our products, aligning with our commercial, regulatory, and clinical objectives
- Chair the pricing and access decision committee (PAD), accountable for the portfolios pricing
- Drive performance excellence and management as well as serve as counsel and enabler (line manager) for access partners and policy leaders
- Lead pricing and access negotiations with external stakeholders
- Create and safeguard the access team culture, e.g. champion for agility and cultural change, role models the mindset & behaviors and new ways of working
- Develop functional expertise and build access capabilities to ensure members are properly equipped to perform their job the best they can specifically in the areas of:
- Health Economics (HE), Health Technology Assessment (HTA) and value based healthcare and societal value
- Contribute with cross-functional team members and partnering with external stakeholders to shape the external healthcare system
- Be a member and strategic contributor of Roche Slovenia Enablement (Leadership) Team
- Take personal responsibility for maintaining high ethical standards and operating in compliance with local and global Roche policies, the Roche Group Code of Conduct, Quality Management System and the IPHA Code of Practice
Who You Are
- University Degree in Health Economics or Science or relevant field
- Proven experience in the innovative pharmaceutical industry or extensive experience in the public sector with innovative medicines
- Fluent English language required, fluency of Slovenian language is preferred
- Thorough understanding of complex/mature healthcare landscape and trends
- Demonstrated experience with leading a team and coaching them whilst on their personal development journeys
- High level market access and policy expertise and previous experience leading complex access negotiations
- Patient focus
- Awareness and passion of policy issues and experiences with healthcare system shaping
- Strategic thinker to drive action plans to deliver on the vision
- Ability to think out of the box and seek new opportunities based on learnings from across industries
- Demonstrated ability and strength in agile working principles and methodologies
- Self-driven and independent but working towards team’s goals
- Entrepreneurial attitude is essential, e.g. challenges the status quo and takes calculated risks
