Job Summary
Facilities Maintenance is responsible for performing maintenance services and repairs to the building and grounds of the office. Also responsible for performing basic plumbing, carpentry, painting, electrical, and other multiple maintenance activities across the facility.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities
- Works under general supervision; relies on experience and general instructions to perform the functions of the job
- Performs regular, preventative maintenance on the building and grounds
- Assists in repairs including carpentry, plumbing, painting, and others to maintain the building in good working condition
- Uses hand tools and other small machinery to perform duties
- Orders supplies and parts as required
- Performs regular, preventative maintenance on all machinery, equipment, tools, and building
- Maintains records of repair and maintenance activities
- Performs duties consistent with established safety rules and procedures
- Maintains work area clean and organized
- Performs other duties as required
Qualifications
- Minimum high school diploma
- Minimum 3 years of formal on-the-job training in general maintenance
- Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and carpentry.
- Working knowledge of safe equipment practices and applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
- Demonstrate working knowledge of hazardous wage and hazardous material handling procedures and practices
- Must be at least 18 years of age
