What We Do

Wagmo is a modern pet healthcare company built around how pet parents actually care for their pets. We partner with employers to provide a complete approach to pet and pet-parent wellbeing, from preventive wellness plans and emergency coverage to 24/7 pet telehealth guidance. Our purpose is to unlock every pet parent’s potential to provide extraordinary care, and we do it by bringing the same intentionality to pet benefits that the best employers bring to human healthcare. Founded in 2017 and female-founded, Wagmo is headquartered in New York City and trusted by leading employers nationwide.

What’s Important To Us

Our mission shapes everything we build and how we work together. We take fearless ownership of outcomes, collaborate with radical candor, and are always driven by the customers and pet parents who trust us. We think critically, follow through relentlessly, and find the extra 10% that turns good work into exceptional work. We keep it weird because the obvious answer is rarely the most interesting one. Our values aren’t aspirational. We interview for them and hold each other accountable to them. If what you’ve read so far resonates with you and you want to be part of a team where every person makes the company meaningfully better, we’d love to hear from you.

About The Role

As a Go-to-Market (GTM) Intern at Wagmo, you will sit at the intersection of marketing, data, and AI to help drive customer acquisition, retention, and engagement. This is a high-impact role for someone who thinks in funnels and experiments, reaches for AI tools before manual workflows, and is energized by turning a business problem into a scalable, automated solution. You'll design and run growth experiments, build AI-powered tools and workflows to accelerate our GTM engine, conduct retention and sensitivity analyses, and help equip our sales team with the research and intelligence they need to win. If you're the kind of person who would rather build an agent than fill out a spreadsheet, we want to talk to you.

Location: This is a hybrid internship based in NYC; interns must be willing and able to work in-office at least three days per week.

Core Responsibilities
  • Design and execute growth experiments across engagement, utilization, and retention, using AI tools to develop hypotheses, run tests, measure results, and iterate quickly

  • Apply AI tools and build automations to accelerate your own work and our GTM engine whether that's prospect research, data analysis, campaign experimentation, or something we haven't thought of yet

  • Conduct a retention sensitivity analysis using AI-driven modeling to identify the key levers that drive customer lifetime value and inform strategic priorities

  • Research and develop AI-powered prospect intelligence that equips the sales team with actionable insights on target accounts, territories, and market opportunities

  • Support demand generation programs and campaigns, leveraging AI for personalization, targeting, and optimization; not just ideation, but hands-on execution that drives measurable leads and pipeline

  • Partner with marketing, sales, and product teams to identify high-impact opportunities and translate data into go-to-market recommendations for leadership

What You’ll Need To Be Successful
  • Currently enrolled in an MBA program or a recent MBA graduate

  • A builder mindset: you instinctively reach for AI tools, automation, and creative technical solutions to break down business problems; experience building AI agents, workflows, or prototypes is a must

  • Analytical rigor with hands-on experience in growth marketing, demand generation, or revenue operations; you know how to run experiments, use AI to accelerate analysis, and optimize for outcomes

  • Clear, structured communication skills: you can turn complex analysis into a concise recommendation that drives action

  • High ownership and scrappiness: you thrive in ambiguity, move fast, and care more about impact than process

  • Familiarity with marketing tools and platforms (e.g., CRM, email automation, analytics dashboards) and fluency with AI tools and LLMs; a willingness to learn whatever’s needed

  • Bonus: prior experience in growth marketing, rev ops, sales enablement, consulting, or building AI/automation tools in a business context

Why Consider This Role?
  • Pet spending in the U.S. has reached $200 billion and Wagmo is scaling fast. This is a rare chance to own go-to-market strategy at a company where your experiments and tools will directly drive growth and not sit in a slide deck.

  • You won’t be doing busywork. You’ll have real ownership over growth initiatives, build AI tools that the team actually uses, and work directly with senior leaders who value builders over polishers.

  • Wagmo is a female-founded, Inc. 5000 recognized company where performance matters more than pedigree. The team is exceptionally smart, curious, and kind, led by transparent and low-ego leadership. We take the work seriously and never take ourselves too seriously.

Key Benefits
  • Mentorship from COO and senior leadership with direct feedback on your work

  • Dog-friendly NYC office

  • Weekly catered lunches

  • Monthly team all hands + regular team gatherings

Skills Required

  • Currently enrolled in an MBA program or a recent MBA graduate
  • Experience building AI agents, workflows, or prototypes
  • Hands-on experience in growth marketing, demand generation, or revenue operations
  • Familiarity with marketing tools and platforms (e.g., CRM, email automation, analytics dashboards)
