  • Lead the development team for satellite GNC (Guidance Navigation and Control) systems, design and verification activities.
  • Contribute to system level activities, such as: developing mission CONOPS (Concept of Operations), defining FMECA (Failure Mode, Effects, and Criticality Analysis) and FDIR (Failure Detection, Isolation, and Recovery)
  • Detection, Isolation, and Recovery processes and design, system test and verification activities.
  • Develop control law and algorithms – analysis, design, implement and validate (simulate) scenarios for RPO (rendezvous and proximity operations) RPO & docking maneuvers.
  • Develop GNC hardware architecture, trade-off analysis of hardware towards an overall GNC hardware solution.
  • Develop GNC software architecture, implementing algorithms for GNC flight software, towards an overall GNC software solution.
  • Support procurement engineers with trade-off and selection of GNC equipment.
  • Coach junior level engineers and provide consultation in GNC development team.

  • 5+ years of experience as an AOCS or GNC systems engineer involved in the design, implementation and testing of GNC solutions for actual spacecraft missions.
  • Experience of algorithm & control law development: use of GNC design and simulation software e.g., MATLAB, implementation of control laws and real world effects (non-linearities, signal noise, tuning), translating algorithms into operational flight software.
  • Experience of hardware trade-offs and hardware and software GNC architectural design.
  • Comfortable using English in a business environment
  • Business level Japanese language capability.

<Desirable>

  • 10+ years of experience as an AOCS or GNC systems engineer involved in the design, implementation and testing of GNC solutions for actual spacecraft missions.
  • Preferable to have experience of implementation of RPO and docking algorithms and solutions.
  • Operational experience of on-orbit satellite operations.
  • Experience in control law design, beyond classical techniques: non linear design, optimal.
  • Knowledge of GNC sensor systems (trade-offs/ procurement, data processing) including cameras, IR and LiDAR.
  • Understanding of safety across the GNC design spectrum: passively safe trajectories, safety critical flight software, operator and ground segment interaction (and level of autonomy), abort maneuvers, and collision avoidance maneuvers.
  • Knowledge of missions concerning ADR (active debris removal) or RPO mission: such as HTV, ETS-7

<必須条件>

  • AOCSまたはGNCシステムのエンジニアとして、実際の宇宙機ミッションの設計、解析、試験の実施に5年以上の実務経験を有すこと。
  • 制御則及びアルゴリズムの開発の経験を有すこと。:MATLABなどのGNCの設計・シミュレーションソフトウェアの使用経験、非線形性、信号ノイズ、チューニングなどの現実的な条件の制御則への折り込み。アルゴリズムの搭載ソフトウェアへの適用。
  • GNC構成設計におけるハードウェア、ソフトウェアのトレードオフの経験を有すこと。
  • ビジネスでの英語使用に抵抗ないこと
  • ビジネスレベルの日本語能力を有すること。

<望ましい条件>

  • AOCSまたはGNCシステムのエンジニアとして、実際の宇宙機ミッションの設計、解析、試験の実施の10年以上の実務経験。
  • RPO及びドッキングのアルゴリズムもしくは設計解析の実施経験。
  • 衛星の軌道上での運用に関わった経験。
  • 非線形、最適化などの、先進的な制御則設計の経験
  • GNCセンサー (可視・赤外カメラ、LiDARなど) のトレードオフ、調達、データ処理等の知識
  • 安全面でのGNC設計の理解:受動安全軌道、危険回避の搭載ソフト、自動化・自律化を含む運用者・地上系との関わり、アボートマヌーバ、衝突回避マヌーバ等
  • デブリ除去やRPOにかかわる宇宙ミッション (HTV, ETS-7等) の知識

Skills Required

  • 5+ years experience as an AOCS or GNC systems engineer on actual spacecraft missions (design, implementation, testing).
