Position Summary:

The Global VP of Marketing is responsible and accountable for leading teams responsible for brand marketing, marketing events and campaigns, customer acquisition and retention activities and operations of the Ocado Intelligent Automation organization. This senior marketing leader will report directly into our Chief Revenue officer and will develop, plan, and execute various marketing programs and advertising initiatives in support of organizational and brand growth goals.

The Global VP of Marketing will interpret business objectives, primarily in lead generation, partnerships and brand awareness, and develop successful marketing campaigns from idea to execution. They will also persuade stakeholders to support marketing initiatives and align them with the overall strategy as well as ensure that brand message(s) are clearly defined and distributed across all channels and targeted audiences, as well as the coordination and management of the marketing budget.

They will lead a small team on the planning, development, implementation, and optimization of OIA marketing initiatives, including public relations, press releases, product launches, events and other brand initiatives that drive OIA awareness. 


Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Liaise with various areas of the organization to ensure that the objectives and efforts of marketing are aligned with the organizational goals.
  • Identify and resolve marketing challenges, adapt strategies to changing market conditions
  • Effectively communicate marketing vision, strategies and results to both internal and external stakeholders
  • Provide oversight to external/internal PR resources and content deliverables, including: press releases; interviews; public speaking engagements & panels; partner press releases
  • Lead and assist in the development of original content creation projects, including: customer success testimonials; case studies; whitepapers; product marketing
  • Oversee, develop and drive execution of OIA brand marketing campaigns, including: trade shows; online/offline brand awareness; social media; website development
  • Oversee, develop and drive execution of lead acquisition funnel & associated digital marketing channels, including PPC, landing pages, and opt-in automations to ensure brand consistency
  • Lead development of partner marketing programs & initiatives to promote positive partner relations and to raise mutual brand exposure, including sponsorships and co-marketing
  • Maximize website performance, track keyword rankings, and implement SEO strategies
  • Approve and track to budget marketing expenditures and overall P&L management relative to marketing efforts

Minimum Requirements

Education:

  • BS/BA from an accredited college or university with major course work in marketing, business administration or related field is required. Equivalent work experience in a similar position may be substituted for educational requirements.
  • MBA preferred

Experience:

  • 15+ years of leading teams with a diverse skills (content, digital, brand, etc), spanning various regions
  • Extensive experience developing and executing comprehensive, multi-year strategic marketing plans for large organizations, covering both global and regional markets.
  • Held multiple senior marketing leadership positions
  • Demonstrated ability to develop comprehensive marketing strategies
  • Proficient in delivering comprehensive marketing strategies for board presentations
  • P&L responsibility
  • Technology, robotics, automation/MHE industry experience & acumen
  • Prior media/press and PR training/experience required
  • Travel: approximately 40%
  • Virtual office

  • Ability to work with other departments (Sales, Product, Finance, etc.) and senior leadership to align on goals and resources.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders (executives, regional teams, agencies, and customers).
  • Strong negotiation skills when working with partners, vendors, and internal teams to secure resources and drive initiatives.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and GSuite (Google Sheets, Docs, Drive)
  • Self-starter and quick to learn new software programs and technology
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, with a sense of ownership to the business and related goals
