Job Title: Global Financial Reporting Control (SOx) and India Lead
Location: Mumbai
Overview:
The role is within the Finance Control Oversight (FCO) team. FCO team is responsible performing all risk-type controller responsibilities and assisting in managing these risks against a defined risk appetite. FCO supports CFO in its proactive management of risk through the following.
- Delivering transparent and robust risk-based oversight
- Providing relevant, timely and accurate control reporting to CFO Management
- Assisting in the development of control standards and key risk indicators
- Challenging control weakness, undertaking lessons learnt reviews, highlighting emerging risks and supporting resolution
- Promoting positive culture & awareness, instilling a strong control mindset across the CFO division

Key responsibilities:
Managing the Accounting and Financial Reporting control framework (SOx Framework) including:
- completing annual inherent risk assessment (SOx scoping documentation)
- assist in defining minimum control standards with subject matter experts.
- develop assurance/testing plan in line with defined minimum standards
- monitor key risk metrics, such as errors, unsubstantiated balances, aged reconciliation breaks or independent price testing breaches
- escalate control deficiencies which are outside of appetite, in line with escalation thresholds
- monitor the remediation of deficiencies identified and provide regular updates to the Finance Risk and Control Forum and SOx Disclosure and Oversight Committee
- develop and conduct scenario analysis, lessons learnt/read across activities as required
Act as primary CFO point of contact for the NFRM KD key deliverable including:
- develop and manage the CFO implementation plan
- manage stakeholders against key milestones and communicate any delivery risks.
- maintain strong relationship with the program manager
- Provide status updates to senior management
Develop and maintain strong relationships within CFO globally and build an understanding of the end-to-end control environments.
Manage the FCO India team and work closely with wider FCO team to support global initiatives (Balance sheet substantiation and development of regulatory reporting framework).
Promote training and awareness of the ‘control mindset’ across stakeholder base.

- Leadership, management and relationship building skills.
- Understanding of front-to-back control environment within an investment Bank.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for all levels of the organization.
- Project management skills and ability to prioritize and coordinate various deliverables across multiple owners.
- A strong understanding of controls and practical application of control principles.
- Experience in risk and control frameworks for trading businesses
