Global Facility Project Planning Engineer - Taiwan Yellow field & China Project Management

As a Global Facility Project Planning Engineer, you will be responsible for coordinating project schedules, cashflow forecasts, and execution planning. You will serve as the main point of contact between site teams, project partners, and management, ensuring that our projects align with business priorities and operational needs. Your role will also include ongoing improvement by applying lessons learned from past projects, making this an outstanding opportunity to contribute to Micron's future success.
Responsibilities and Tasks
Project Planning & Coordination
- Manage project schedules, achievements, and cashflow forecasts for Taiwan Yellow field and China projects.
- Coordinate project execution activities across internal and external collaborators.
- Establish project objectives, scope, deliverables, and execution strategies.
- Support project planning activities from concept development through project closeout.
- Ensure project plans continue to align with business priorities and site requirements.
Project Performance Management
- Monitor project performance against approved baselines and targets.
- Analyze schedule and cost performance and recommend corrective actions when required.
- Track project risks, issues, assumptions, and recovery plans.
- Develop management reports and performance presentations to support decision-making.
- Facilitate project reviews, coordination meetings, and planning workshops.
Business & long-term planning
- Conduct construction market assessments and benchmarking studies for U.S. and South Asia countries.
- Support evaluation of future Micron expansion opportunities.
- Review insights gained from Taiwan Yellow field and other construction projects.
- Support long-range planning (LRP), capacity planning, and strategic project studies.
- Identify guidelines and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Collaborator Management & using Artificial Intelligence
- Maintain close collaboration with site leadership, project teams, consultants, contractors, and business partners.
- Coordinate cross-functional discussions to resolve project issues and align priorities.
- Communicate project status, risks, and recommendations to management.
- Ensure project team roles, responsibilities, and accountabilities are fully understood.
Minimum Experience & Skills
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related subject area.
- Proven experience in Project Management, Project Controls, Construction Planning, or Facilities Engineering.
- Experience managing large-scale construction, expansion, Brownfield, or Yellow field projects.
- Strong understanding of project scheduling, budgeting, cashflow management, and risk management.
- Experience coordinating multidisciplinary collaborators and driving project execution.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Knowledge of construction project delivery methodologies and facilities operations.
- Ability to work effectively in a global multicultural environment.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and collaborator management skills.
- Strong financial understanding with experience in budgeting and cost control.
- Language: required in both Chinese and English; proficiency in the language used in Japan is preferred.
