The general responsibilities of the position are the following:
DRAM Probe Testing
  • Improve DRAM probe testing coverage and quality on DRAM products
  • Own the DRAM probe test flow, review and sign off probe test program releases to ensure quality control
  • Utilize state-of-the-art in-house engineering equipment to support DRAM product characterization and electrical failure analysis (EFA)
  • Develop innovative DRAM test algorithms to improve test efficiency and reduce test cost

New Generation DRAM Product Development
  • Responsible for new DRAM product startup and yield improvement
  • Support design verification and in-depth DRAM circuit analysis using CAD tools and Verilog simulations
  • Work with the wafer fab process / integration teams to address process-related defects impacting DRAM yield
  • Identify design marginalities in DRAM circuits and recommend design fixes for circuit-related issues

Functional and Design Validation (DRAM)
  • Design novel DRAM test algorithms and develop test programs for validating DRAM features, modes, and commands
  • Analyze failures generated from characterization and validation activities
  • Automate DRAM test program development and engineering workflows using scripting and data processing tools

DRAM Product Yield Enhancement
  • Identify root causes of low DRAM yield through systematic data-driven analysis
  • Work closely with process, device, product, and design engineering teams to resolve defect- and process-related yield issues
  • Perform electrical and physical failure analysis to understand failure mechanisms in DRAM devices
  • Utilize statistical and data analytics tools to drive DRAM yield improvement projects

Managed DRAM / Custom DRAM Products
  • Develop high-quality and cost-efficient Managed / Custom DRAM probe and back-end test strategies
  • Understand DRAM defect mechanisms, redundancy schemes, and system-level error detection / recovery features
  • Collaborate with test engineering teams to define and secure probe cards, test fixtures, and system validation setups
  • Conduct electrical failure analysis of DRAM products across the product lifecycle, including qualification, mass production, and customer return analysis
  • Perform extensive data parsing and advanced analytics to improve yield, test time, and overall DRAM product quality
