Joining Tate & Lyle in the UK
Our global headquarters are in a fantastic London location, overlooking Hyde Park near Marble Arch. The office is home to our Executive Board and colleagues working across a range of global functions. The majority of the team split their time between home and office. The site is set up to support hybrid working and promote collaboration. It is a progressive workspace with a mix of different areas including meeting pods, sofas, an outside terrace, a quiet library room and a wellbeing space.
About the Role
The Global Channel Specialist plays a key role in delivering an optimised employee experience, ensuring the channels and systems used to connect, inform and engage our colleagues are fit for purpose, enhance the employee experience and deliver ROI.
Assists with the development of, and is responsible for the implementation and execution of, effective internal channel strategy that engages employees, promotes organizational culture, and facilitates clear information flow across all levels of the organizations.
This role will collaborate closely with the Director of Employee Experience, internal communications experts, IT function and networks from across the business to ensure consistent standards and best practices are taught and met across channels.
MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES

Channel strategy: Assist with the development of, and implement and execute a comprehensive employee channel strategy that aligns with organizational goals and enhances employee engagement.

Content creation: Lead creation and governance of a variety of internal communications materials, including newsletters, announcements, intranet content and presentations.

Channel management and development: Oversee internal communication channels (e.g. intranet, emails, meetings, social platforms) to ensure they are effective and user-friendly. Partner with ISIT to enhance, develop or replace where necessary.

Channel maintenance: Act as the main point of contact with ISIT and technical partner agencies on technical issues relating to all internal digital channels.

Community management: Lead networks of content and channel owners to develop, drive and support global channels, drive enhancements, and localise content.

Metrics and reporting: Track ana analyse communication metrics to assess the effectiveness of strategies and make data-driven improvements.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCES

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

Strong experience in a digital role, managing intranets, social media and other online channels

Previous experience in a global setting presenting and working with colleagues or clients
PREFERRED EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Experience of crafting and delivering a channel strategy designed to enhance employee experience

Practical experience utilising a variety of methods to enhance employee experience and understanding various internal communication methods/ channels – up to date with industry trends

Enthusiastic, engaging and experienced communicator and influencer with experience leading multiple projects and business needs; planning, prioritising and delivering successfully to multiple deadlines

First class communication skills (written, verbal, visual, engaging presenter)

Outstanding collaboration, influencing and interpersonal skills and the ability to interface with stakeholders across the business

Ability to identify and analyse business and audience needs to deliver messages via the most appropriate mix of channels – using a variety of communication, change management and engagement approaches

Proven experience of creating and executing internal communications activity that aligns to business goals, and a track record of delivering solid, measurable results

Abel to be hands-on, a “team player” who can lead by example, with high accountability for their actions
