Job Description

Rockwell Automation is looking for a dynamic Global Account Manager to lead our strategic partnership with a major global manufacturer within the AP regions. This role is pivotal in driving revenue growth, strengthening customer relationships, and positioning Rockwell Automation as the preferred automation and digital transformation partner. You will have a deep understanding of discrete manufacturing, experience managing complex global accounts, and exceptional strategic sales and relationship management skills.

Reporting to the Director of Global Sales Accounts this role will cover the AP regions. You will travel up to 50%.

Your Responsibilities:

 

  • Strategic Relationship Leadership:
    • Cultivate and maintain trust-based, strategic relationships with senior executives and key stakeholders at the global manufacturer, aligning Rockwell Automation's solutions with their business objectives.
    • Maintain a consistent on-site presence at customer manufacturing sites and headquarters, fostering strong relationships and gaining a firsthand understanding of their operations and needs. Regular travel is a core requirement of this role.
    • Represent the full spectrum of Rockwell Automation's products and services, demonstrating both broad capability and targeted expertise to meet critical customer needs.
  • Driving Global Growth & Value:
    • Develop and execute a comprehensive global account plan, maximizing "customer share" across all regions and driving significant revenue growth.
    • Promote the tangible economic value of Rockwell Automation's solutions, linking them to customer KPIs, competitive advantage, and profitability.
    • Identify and pursue new growth opportunities, both within the existing account and through expansion into new products and services.
  • Effective Team Collaboration & Execution:
    • Lead and motivate cross-functional teams, including field sales, product groups, and international partners, to deliver a unified and impactful customer experience.
    • Effectively manage the opportunity pipeline, ensuring efficient resource allocation and execution of high-potential activities.
    • Work with the customer and our internal teams to expand our global presence within the customers factories and with their ecosystem of suppliers.
  • Strategic Planning & Communication:
    • Develop and deliver accurate annual account plans and billings forecasts, providing regular progress updates to both the customer and internal stakeholders.
    • Actively participate in the customer's planning and implementation teams, providing valuable control and information input.
    • Communicate success stories and reference examples of Rockwell Automation solutions with the customer to the wider industry.
  • Executive Sales & Compliance:
    • Model executive-level sales, mentoring colleagues.
    • Ensure strict adherence to company policies and procedures, including compliance with all relevant government regulations and industry standards.
The Essentials - You Will Have:

 

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of relevant work experience
  • 10 years of experience
  • Legal authorization to work in Japan is required – we will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.
  • Valid Driver's license
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
The Preferred - You Might Also Have:

 

  • Bachelor of Science degree in an Engineering discipline
  • 5+ years of experience in technical sales, industrial distribution, systems integration or an engineering firm, or graduate of the Rockwell Automation Sales Training Program
  • 5+ years of global sales experience.
  • Industry Experience: Working knowledge of Industry 4.0 and Internet of Things technologies. IOT / IIOT / Software / Annual Recurring Revenue-Subscription model type of experience. Working with all levels of a manufacturing enterprise – CxO, operations leadership, technical leadership, plant leadership and OEM machine builders.

Rockwell Automation’s hybrid policy aligns that employees are expected to work at a Rockwell location at least Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays unless they have a business obligation out of the office.
