GL Senior Accountant, Group Accounting

Vinted’s Finance team is in charge of producing transparent, high-quality financial accounts, as well as contributing towards sustainable operations and company growth. To keep up with the rapid advancement and increasing complexity of our financial operations, the finance department is looking for a new member.

We are looking for a Senior Accountant who will be a part of the General Ledger team and will specialise in core general ledger tasks, maintain accurate financial records and ensure the integrity of our accounting processes, as well as, provide guidance and support more complex journal entries, month-end activities, and accounting projects.

• Be responsible for and coordinate the reporting of stand-alone Vinted Group entities during month-end close;
• Be responsible for more complex general ledger accounting tasks and accounts reconciliations;
• Be responsible for preparation of financial statements for stand-alone Vinted group entities via close collaboration with our external consultants;
• Be responsible for the assigned area accounting within general ledger;
• Work closely with external auditors during standalone entities audits and provide support during group audit;
• Closely collaborate with colleagues from other departments on finance related matters and cross functional projects;
• Review the effectiveness of existing processes and identify opportunities for process improvements;
• Ensure compliance with the company’s key accounting policies, procedures and internal controls.

• Have higher degree in accounting or related field;
• Have at least 3 years of accounting experience;
• Excellent attention to detail skills;
• Expert in technical accounting, good proficiency in the accounting software (advantage: knowledge of Oracle Netsuite) and Excel (e.g. use of PIVOT tables);
• Ability to solve out-of-scope, non routine accounting issues;
• Ability to exercise professional scepticism in questioning the financial data input received;
• Effective time management and communication skills;
• Excellent at communicating in spoken and written English;

The salary range for this position is € 3,192 - € 4,317 gross per month.
