Role Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Intercompany GL Accountant to join our finance team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records, in compliance with US GAAP and internal policies. This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, supporting month-end and year-end close processes, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives across our accounting operations.
You will be part of a collaborative and supportive finance team committed to excellence and innovation.
Your role:
Take part in complex Intercompany accounting:
Intercompany statements and confirmations
Account reconciliation
Journal entries
Eliminate intercompany out of balances
Participate in intercompany cash application
Responsible for US GAAP accounting, Intercompany reporting and issue resolution and other ad hoc requests for information
Coordination of month-end closings
Prepare SOX controls
Work with the Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger and on-site teams to ensure accurate and controlled financial statements for the Intercompany accounts
Support internal and external audits
Ensure effective internal controls for the Intercompany accounting area
Participation in assigned projects
Reporting to site leadership to ensure a healthy service level
Your profile:
Ideally 2 years of experience in accounting
Bachelor's Degree in Economics required (preferably in accounting)
Solid general accounting knowledge and understanding of financial processes
Good verbal and written communication skills in English
Confident user of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Good analytical, research and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail
Excellent team player
Supportive attitude and good interpersonal skill set
Ability to establish and maintain effective work relationships with stakeholders
Preferred skills/experience:
Knowledge of General Ledgers
Understanding of US GAAP
