We are looking for you to join our team as General Manufacturing Manager 1 to support production and manufacturing operations at our Central Virginia manufacturing facilities.
The General Manufacturing Manager 1 will have organizational responsibility for test technicians. The primary mission is to meet or exceed customer requirements by providing quality products on time and within program cost targets, while promoting a lean manufacturing environment.
What You'll Get to Do:
Provide leadership direction in areas such as: Technical Guidance, Process Development, Continuous Improvement, Capacity Planning, Capital & Facility Planning, Cost/ Benefit Analysis, Manpower Planning, Staffing, ISO9001and all auditable processes.
Provide direction to employees utilizing management guidelines and general policies.
Drive employee efficiency.
Meet product cost and schedule targets.
Manage to department budget.
Manage the area to produce quality products.
Attract, retain and develop talent and execute a cohesive strategy to create an inclusive culture and build an engaged workforce.
This position is contingent upon proposal/task award.
Basic Qualifications for the General Manufacturing Manager:
Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing or production environment OR a Master's degree with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing or production environment; will also consider a minimum of 9 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree
At least one year of experience managing or leading people or projects
Experience in MS Office software applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, etc.)
The ability to obtain and maintain a US Secret Level Security clearance
U.S. Citizenship is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Current Secret clearance
Experience as an electrical or test engineer
Experience managing manufacturing assembly and test
Experience with SAP or other Material Requirements Planning (MRP) system for business
Prior program, project and/or people management, cross-organizational, process improvement experience
Lean or Green Belt certified

Primary Level Salary Range: $86,300.00 - $129,500.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
