Spot & Tango is an innovative pet health & wellness brand that delivers personalized meal plans on a subscription basis. Our recipes are developed by leading animal nutritionists, and are made with only real, human-grade ingredients... and nothing artificial! We have lofty goals (to make every dog in the country healthier, and every pet parent happier!) and we are looking for the right people to help us get there. The Role
The PupGum GM role will be reporting directly to the COO, however you will work closely across all core business functions. You will be responsible for owning the roadmap and day-to-day operations of our recently launched dental chew brand, PupGum. PupGum is the world’s first dental chew clinically shown to reduce bad breath compounds and plaque, and you’re going to be its new champion. You’ll work cross-functionally, tracking inventory, owning the website testing roadmap and e-commerce platform, building email and SMS retargeting flows, ideating on breakthrough creative and collaborating with the marketing + creative teams to bring those ideas to life, identifying growth opportunities for the brand, and much more. This role requires a true all-rounder, leveraging both high-level organization and strategic thinking with a willingness to roll up your sleeves and own execution.

Responsibilities:
- P&L Management - Lead all aspect of the PupGum P&L, from revenue growth to cost management and profitability
- Strategic Roadmap - Develop and execute roadmap of strategic growth initiatives (e.g., pricing strategy, UX design, marketing campaigns, channel expansion, etc.)
- GTM - Drive go-to-market strategy and brand positioning; build out life-cycle marketing capabilities in partnership with existing marketing team
- Vendor Management - Collaborate with key manufacturing partners, including potential travel to manufacturing sites, to scale supply chain and identify cost-saving opportunities
- E-commerce Operations - Implement Shopify site optimizations and create lifecycle marketing flows
- Inventory Management - Tracking ongoing inventory usage and collaborating with the Operations team to ensure timely replenishment (e.g., owning NetSuite transactions and booking freight)
- Analytics - Analyze performance metrics (e.g., AOV, CAC, retention), build long-term forecasts, and synthesize broader consumer insights to optimize growth strategy
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience at a top-tier management/strategy consulting firm; experience working in the consumer goods, food, or retail industry is a plus
- 2+ years of experience in an operating role at a growth-stage startup (e.g., strategic operations, marketing, product manager, product innovation / development, etc.); experience with consumer business with a membership or subscription businesses is a plus
- Bachelor's degree or higher from top-tier university; ideally majoring in business, statistics, mathematics, engineering, economics, or a related field
- Familiarity with e-commerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, Recharge), marketing platforms (e.g., Klaviyo), and analytics tools (e.g., Looker, Omni, GA4)
- Proven track record of owning a P&L and hitting growth targets preferred
- Experience building and owning demand forecast and inventory models preferred
- Proven ability to manage multiple research initiatives independently, prioritize effectively, and drive projects from concept to execution
- Strong understanding of e-commerce performance metrics (e.g., CAC, LTV)
- Exceptional work ethic and ability to independently create and drive workstreams in a fast-paced, deadline-driven startup environment
- Comfortable working and communicating with employees at senior levels of the organization, including the CEO, COO, and other senior leaders
- Self-starter who is comfortable with ambiguity and able to react quickly to changing priorities
- Dog lovers are a plus!
This is a hybrid position based in our Midtown Manhattan office. In office presence is required on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.

Employees engage in a combination of remote and on-site work.
Our hybrid policy requires employees to work in-person at our New York office Monday, Wednesday and Thursday. Employees are able to work from home on Tuesday and Friday.
