Overview

Instawork is seeking a seasoned General Manager to lead go-to-market (GTM) efforts for our new Hiring product. We're moving one step closer to achieving our vision to create economic opportunity for local businesses and professionals by connecting them for permanent hiring needs. This strategic leader will spearhead a cross-functional team of sales, account management, and marketing professionals to drive product adoption and growth and work extremely closely with Instawork's CEO and other executives. The ideal candidate will have a strong combination of go-to-market execution skills along with strategy thinking capabilities. Experience in HR tech, staffing, or recruiting is highly preferred. Former founders are especially welcome!

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership: Lead a cross-functional team to develop and execute comprehensive GTM strategies for Instawork Hiring.
  • Customer Engagement: Be the day-to-day face of Instawork for existing and potential customers of Instawork Hiring.
  • Market Expansion: Drive market penetration and customer acquisition through creative sales and marketing strategies, including with Instawork's existing Partner base.
  • Go-To-Market Coaching: Motivate and develop the talent we need to accomplish the above across the organization.

Requirements

  • AI Adopter: Heavy user of AI tools for professional and personal success.
  • Experience: Proven leadership experience in a similar role, preferably in HR tech, staffing, or recruiting.
  • Ambition and Speed of Execution: Evidence of striving to achieve big goals and moving quickly to exceed them.
  • Work Environment: This role requires in-office presence in San Francisco or Chicago, 5 days a week, with a commitment of at least 60 hours per week.

For CA based applicants:

  • The base salary for this position is $160,000 - $275,000
  • This position is eligible for equity in the form of stock options
  • This position is eligible for Instawork benefits, including:
