Job Summary
Caterpillar has been leveraging AI for years to deliver processes and products. Generative AI is a form of artificial intelligence which has a human-level of cognitive function, across a wide variety of domains such as language processing, image processing, computational functioning to mimic human-like reasoning. GenAI is an emerging technology that will play a vital role in profitable growth for Caterpillar.
Cat IT is working hard to enable a safe environment where the business can innovate and thrive. They have developed an Intelligent Automation Center of Excellence to operationalize Caterpillar IT's GenAI COE services to deliver business value by developing deep expertise to be able to scale and drive efficiencies, ensure we are providing solutions using the right technology, and has approved below roles to support the growing demand for GenAI COE services.
What You Will Do:

• Maintain and utilize relevant industry expertise.
• Build long-term, strategic roadmaps for AI/ML usage at Caterpillar (internally, as well as partnered with the business IT organizations).
• Provide leadership and best practices on solution architecture, following the Well-Architected Framework.
• Provide cloud technology leadership, guidance, and expertise to other team members.
• Provide consultation on best practices for teams starting their cloud journey.
• Deploy or integrate cloud technologies based on requirements gathered from customers.
• Perform implementation and integration tasks for medium to large, complex in-house developed systems and/or purchased software solutions.
• Assist the Enterprise Cloud Adoption team, peers, and customers with documentation, training and usability efforts.

What You Have:

• Strong experience in enterprise-scale operations, with special emphasis in areas of data platforms or AI/ML workloads.
• Experience as a technical leadership or lead developer role
• Proven ability to troubleshoot infrastructure and/or application connectivity issues across a complex global network
• Experience developing architectural designs, processes and procedures.
• Exposure to architectures containing emerging IoT, AI/ML, or Big Data technologies.
• Associate level (or above) architect certification from Microsoft, AWS or Google.

Compensation & Benefits:
Base salary for this role ranges from $142,080 - $213,000 Actual salary will be based on experience. The total rewards package, beyond base salary includes:

Additional Info :
The ideal locations for this role is Peoria-IL, Dallas-TX, Nashville-TN; however open to considering other Caterpillar facilities within the U.S. (candidates permanent address must be within 50-mile driving distance to a Caterpillar facility)
