The DG AI team in PDU Data & Analytics (PDU D&A) is at the forefront of making Ericsson's R&D and networks truly AI-native, building AI and GenAI capabilities that transform how we design, develop, test, and operate our products. We work end-to-end on AI/ML use cases and 4G/5G network analytics, turning large-scale data from live networks and development pipelines into actionable insights and intelligent automation for our engineering teams and customers.
As part of the wider PDU D&A Data & AI organisation, we drive key GenAI initiatives such as AI-assisted coding and code review, automated documentation and knowledge graphs, test and CI intelligence, and AI-powered troubleshooting - all built on top of modern AI-native assets and frameworks owned by the team. You will join a diverse, cross-site group of data scientists, ML engineers, software developers and architects who collaborate closely with product teams across BOS to turn data into action together and push the boundaries of what AI can do in telecom R&D.
We are looking for a candidate who has just started or will start their professional life and is eager to develop himself /herself with the latest technologies.
We work in small teams that use Agile methodology to keep up in a fast-paced business environment, we closely cooperate with Ericsson Research, customer units and service delivery organisation. Our product platform combines Big Data methodologies and solutions with our outstanding complex event processing to build a state-of-the-art analytics and decision management system.
What you will do
- Use AI / ML / LLM algorithms to create new usecases and validate hypothesis
- Use and work with Gen AI and Agentic AI frameworks to crate LLM Agents
- Develop Telecom Insights with support from domain specialists and a team of data engineers
- Improve and build insights
- Drive improvements by coming up with new insights related to our products and processes
- Build supporting tools and standard methodologies
- Collaborate with various teams, such as DevOps teams, BI team and business stakeholders
- Help build organizational DevOps/MLOps expertise ensuring continuous learning, knowledge of best practices, and application of these
You will bring
- 1-2 years' experience in data science (both industry and academy are welcome)
- Demonstrated experience with Python: data processing libraries like Pandas, NumPy, and Scikit-learn
- Daily use of Gen AI tools and AI agentic frameworks (LangChain, LlamaIndex, LangGraph...)
- Familiarity with Machine Learning techniques and libraries
- Experience in model creation and prototyping
- A good understanding of software development methodologies
- Good communication and presentation skills
- Solid mathematical, statistical background with strong and creative problem-solving skills
- Master's degree or PhD in data science, mathematics, physics, statistics, computer sciences or any related field
- Handson experience with deployment & orchestration tools - Docker, Kubernetes, Helm
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS -Sagemaker/ Bedrock, GCP, or Azure)
It's a huge plus if you have
- Experience with Big Data technologies, stream processing (e.g.: Spark, Kafka, SQL over Hadoop)
- Proficiency in API development with Fast API, Spring boot, Understanding of O&M - logging, monitoring, fault management, security etc
- Strong programming skills in TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar ML frameworks (training and deployment)
- Experience with MLOps with focus on all steps of ML project lifecycle e.g. Data Preparation, Modeling, Deployment, Monitoring (Gitlab, Gitops)
- Experience with reporting BI tools (e.g. Spotfire, Tableau, PowerBI)
- Ability and willingness to quickly adopt new technologies and/or business domains
- Industry experience in building and productizing end-to-end analytics or Machine Learning systems
- Working experience in mobile telecommunications industry
- Good knowledge of any distributed computing tools such as PySpark, Dask, Ray
