- Reconcile Cash & Position Breaks: Perform daily cash and position reconciliations between internal ledger systems, clearing platforms, and external custodian accounts to identify and resolve breaks promptly.
- Investigate & Resolve Discrepancies: Partner with Front Office Sales/Trading, Middle Office, and external counterparties to investigate and remediate trade matching, confirmation, and settlement discrepancies.
- Mitigate Operational Risk: Ensure all settlement processes strictly adhere to internal control frameworks, regulatory obligations, and audit policies to protect the firm from financial and reputational loss.
- Drive Process & Automation Enhancements: Identify operational bottlenecks and collaborate with Engineering and Product teams to design, test, and implement systematic enhancements that increase Straight-Through Processing (STP).
- Analyze Settlement Data: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), settlement fail trends, and counterparty behavior to propose data-driven solutions for risk mitigation.
