Job Description
The Staff Accountant reports to the Director of Finance and assists with various monthly close, accounts payable, billing, and compliance processes. The Staff Accountant enters journal entries, reconciles cash and general ledger accounts, documents processes, and assists with special projects.
Primary Job Duties:

Prepare journal entries accurately, timely, and with appropriate supporting documentation.

Prepare monthly bank and general ledger account reconciliations. Follow up on outstanding items.

Analyze financial information and summarize financial results as requested by management.

Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls. Ensure that desktop procedures are complete, accurate, and updated timely for areas of responsibility.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required. Related fields include Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or Accounting/Management Information Systems.

1+ years of direct accounting experience required. Month end close experience is a plus.

General knowledge of finance and accounting functions, including revenue, budgeting, credit, reconciliations, and internal controls.

Intermediate Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills.

Experience with ERP systems is a plus. Microsoft Dynamics preferred but not required.

Working knowledge of US GAAP.

Must comply with HIPAA rules and regulations.
The salary range for this role is $70,000 to $80,000 in base pay and exclusive of any bonuses or benefits (medical, dental, vision, life, and pet insurance, 401K, paid time off, and other wellness programs). This role is also eligible for an annual bonus targeted at 10%. The base pay offered will be determined based on relevant factors such as experience, education, and geographic location.
