This role is remote and offered on a contract basis for candidates located in the USA

Responsibilities

We are expanding our bootcamp offering globally, and seeking a high quality instructor to deliver live online classes to our learners. You will take live classes, contribute to curriculum development, and help develop an engaged community of learners. Your work will include:

  • Curriculum Delivery: Conduct live online classes for a diverse group of learners, ensuring high-quality instruction and engagement
  • Content Development: Develop and refine course materials, lesson plans, and projects, leveraging our extensive Codecademy library as a valuable resource
  • Student Engagement: Foster an interactive and inclusive learning environment, encouraging student participation and engagement
  • Assessment & Feedback: Evaluate student performance through assignments and projects, providing constructive feedback to facilitate learning
  • Doubt Resolution: Assist students with technical challenges and address their queries both during and outside of class

Skills & Qualification Requirements

  • Minimum of 7 years of real world experience in technology companies, leading impactful projects and workstreams with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Proficiency in full-stack technologies including, but not limited to:
    • Front-end: HTML, CSS, JavaScript (React, Angular, Vue.js)
    • Back-end: Node.js, Express.js, Django, Flask, Ruby on Rails
    • Databases: SQL (MySQL, PostgreSQL), NoSQL (MongoDB, Firebase)
    • DevOps: Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines
    • Cloud Platforms: AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform
    • Data Structures & Algorithms (DSA)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Passion to share the real world knowledge you’ve gained

  • Prior experience in B2C teaching or training roles is desirable
