Job Description

You will work with a diverse team to help shape the future of our new customers' onboarding processes, playing a key role in building and refining user-facing features. As part of the entire feature development lifecycle, you’ll have the opportunity to work closely with customer feedback to continuously improve the user experience.

You will use technology such as React to write maintainable, performant, and high-quality code. We focus on continuous deployment and iterative delivery, to ensure that our code runs reliably on the Teya infrastructure, allowing you to focus on delivering value to our new merchants in a fluid manner.

We are looking for a frontend developer who demonstrates a high level of curiosity and keeps up with the latest technologies. You have developed and maintained multiple front-end applications throughout the entirety of their lifecycle. You have a strong eye for software design and you would like to tackle tough technical challenges and have a desire to impact local businesses and communities.

On a regular day as a Frontend Software Engineer, you will:

  • Design, develop, and maintain clean, efficient, and well-tested code for user interfaces that support critical business needs, ensuring optimal performance and scalability across web applications.

  • Take ownership of features and projects throughout the full software development lifecycle, including scoping, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.

  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including designers and product managers, providing technical insights and contributing to frontend architecture discussions to deliver reliable and efficient user experiences.

  • Enhance existing web applications and build new features that improve operational efficiency, user engagement, and overall functionality within the merchant onboarding processes.

  • Participate in code reviews, share feedback constructively, and help elevate the overall quality and performance of the team’s output.

  • Contribute to process improvements, focusing on continuous integration, delivery, and deployment to ensure a smooth and stable development pipeline.

  • Stay updated with emerging technologies and trends, bringing new ideas to the table to keep the team innovative and forward-thinking.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of professional software development experience, with a strong emphasis on frontend systems and responsive web applications.

  • Strong experience working with JavaScript, relevant frameworks, and other web technologies, with a preference for knowledge of TypeScript.

  • Proven experience in developing efficient, maintainable, and scalable solutions using React and Next.js.

  • Familiarity with state management libraries (e.g., Redux, MobX) and component libraries (e.g., Material-UI, Ant Design).

  • Experience with responsive design and a solid grasp of CSS frameworks (e.g., Bootstrap, Tailwind CSS).

  • Knowledge of RESTful APIs and GraphQL, along with experience in integrating backend services into frontend applications.

  • Hands-on experience with version control (Git), continuous integration, and deployment practices.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues across multiple components and systems.
