The Frontend Developer is responsible for building and maintaining the user-facing features of the platform. They ensure that the app or website is visually engaging, responsive across devices, and easy to navigate. Their role involves translating UI/UX designs into functional interfaces, integrating interactive elements (feeds, chats, notifications), optimizing performance for speed and scalability, and collaborating with backend developers to deliver seamless user experiences.

This is a hybrid role based in Ghana

Duties:

Convert design prototypes into responsive, interactive, and visually appealing user interfaces.
Build and maintain key social media features such as feeds, stories, notifications, chat/messaging, and profile pages.
Ensure the platform functions seamlessly across different browsers, devices, and screen sizes.
Improve speed, scalability, and overall responsiveness of the application for a smooth user experience.
Work with backend developers to integrate data and services (e.g., user posts, media uploads, friend requests).
Identify and resolve UI issues, bugs, and cross-browser inconsistencies.
Ensure the platform is accessible to all users, including those with disabilities, following global accessibility standards.
Partner with backend engineers, product managers, and designers to deliver cohesive features.

Requirements

Required Qualifications & Skills

BSc in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
3-5 years of relative experience in frontend development
Knowledge of mobile-first and cross-browser compatibility practices.
Ability to translate UI/UX wireframes into functional code.
Proficient in the use of Kotlin
Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

Skills Required
