Position Summary
The EDC Counselor will serve as the first point of contact for students and parents, providing expert advice on international study options, guiding them through the application process, and ensuring a smooth transition from inquiry to enrollment. The role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to meet student recruitment targets.
Key Responsibilities
Student Advisory & Support
- Provide personalized counseling to students on study abroad options, career goals, and course selection.
- Guide students through application processes for universities, colleges, and pathway programs.
- Advise on visa requirements, scholarship opportunities, and financial planning.
- Maintain accurate records of student interactions and applications.
Recruitment & Processing
- Achieve individual student recruitment and conversion targets monthly and quarterly.
- Coordinate with admissions teams to ensure timely submission of applications and documents.
- Follow up with students and parents to ensure all requirements are met for successful admission
and visa approval.

- Support students post-admission with pre-departure guidance and settlement advice.
Engagement & Marketing
- Participate in education fairs, school visits, and promotional activities.
- Promote Lu Gold EDC’s services, including PTE training and visa support.
- Contribute to digital engagement through social media and online counseling sessions when
required.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Applications & Conversions: Minimum of 20 new student applications per month with at least 50%
conversion to offers.
- Visa Success Rate: Maintain a 90%+ visa approval rate for supported applications.
- Client Engagement: Follow up with all assigned leads within 24 hours.
- Revenue Contribution: Achieve monthly revenue contribution through counseling, exam
preparation enrollments, and admissions.
- Satisfaction Rating: Attain a minimum of 90% positive feedback score from students and parents.

Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Sciences, Business, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in student recruitment, academic counseling, or international
education advisory.
- Strong knowledge of international study destinations and visa requirements.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work with targets and deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; knowledge of CRM systems is an advantage.
