FRONT DESK RECEPTIONIST

The Position

Grid United has numerous large scale transmissions projects underway and is currently identifying and studying additional prospective projects across North America. With patient capital backing led by experienced energy veterans, Grid United is in a fast-growth stage, boasting a purpose-built team of motivated and entrepreneurial talent. Reporting to the Office Manager, we’re looking for a highly organized, motivated and personable Front Desk Receptionist to be the first point of contact for our team and guests. As the Front Desk Receptionist, you’ll play a vital role in keeping our two-story office running smoothly and creating a welcoming, professional environment. You'll handle a mix of administrative tasks, guest relations, and general office support while representing the company with humility and grace. 

Key Responsibilities & Outcomes:

  • Greet and direct all visitors with a friendly, professional attitude
  • Coordinate meeting rooms and shared spaces across two floors in a dynamic environment
  • Manage incoming and outgoing mail, packages, and deliveries in a timely manner
  • Keep the front desk area and common spaces tidy and organized
  • Check and reset conference rooms after meetings to maintain cleanliness and organization
  • Maintain inventory of office, kitchen, and restroom supplies and place orders as needed
  • Troubleshoot IT/AV equipment within conference rooms
  • Escalate facility issues to appropriate parties (AV equipment, lights, printer, etc.)
  • Help coordinate, plan and schedule internal events, team lunches, and office culture initiatives and assist with setup and breakdown of such meetings
  • Prepare copies, collates, binds, and distributes reports and presentations as needed
  • Provide backup support for Office Manager
  • Perform general administrative duties and assist other departments as needed

Desired Experience and Skills:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years of experience in a receptionist, customer service, or administrative role
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Exceptional organizational skills, including the ability to multi-task efficiently with constant regard for accuracy and quality
  • Proficient with office tools (Microsoft Office)
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a small, nonhierarchical organization
  • Proactive and open to embracing new challenges
  • Self-starter with a positive, professional, and energetic team-oriented attitude
