We are on the lookout for a Fraud Specialist to join our Antifraud Team.
Role overview
As a Fraud Analyst, you’ll help protect the business from fraud and financial risks by monitoring user activity, investigating suspicious behavior, and identifying new fraud patterns and threats. You’ll work with fraud detection tools, analyze trends and anomalies, and help tackle issues such as bonus abuse.
You’ll work closely with Legal, Finance, and other teams to investigate incidents, improve fraud prevention processes, and develop effective ways to reduce risk. You’ll also share your findings through reports and help the business stay prepared for new and emerging fraud threats.
Responsibilities:
- Fraud Monitoring: Use advanced fraud detection tools and technologies to monitor user activity and identify suspicious behavior in real time.
- Fraud Investigation: Investigate fraudulent activity by analyzing patterns, trends, anomalies, and connections between individual or groups of operations.
- Threat Analysis: Stay up to date with the latest fraud techniques, emerging threats, and evolving risk patterns.
- Bonus Abuse Management: Monitor and investigate bonus abuse across products and take action based on emerging trends and identified risks.
- Risk Modeling: Simulate and describe algorithms and scenarios for detecting potentially risky operations and fraudulent behavior.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Legal, Marketing, Finance, and other teams to share insights, investigate fraud-related issues, and implement effective solutions.
- Fraud Awareness: Provide guidance and training to employees on fraud prevention practices and emerging risks.
- Incident Response: Lead investigations and coordinate response efforts in cases of suspected fraud, security breaches, or other critical incidents.
- Risk Reporting: Prepare and present reports on fraud and risk metrics, emerging trends, incidents, and mitigation strategies to senior management.
- Financial Risk Investigation: Investigate incidents involving financial risks and identify their root causes and potential impact.
- Corrective Actions: Develop and implement measures to mitigate the impact of fraud and financial risk incidents and prevent similar issues in the future.
Requirements
- Education: Degree in Economics, Finance, Analytics, Statistics, or a related field.
- Relevant Experience: Previous experience in economics, analytics, statistics, or a similar analytical role.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills with a methodical and logical approach to problem-solving and a high level of accuracy.
- Technical Proficiency: Confident user of Excel and Google Sheets.
- Language Skills: Native-level Russian and English at B1+ level or higher.
- Shift Flexibility: Willingness to work shifts (09:00–17:00 or 17:00–01:00 GMT+3), including weekends when required.
- Problem-Solving: Proactive and self-motivated approach to identifying issues, researching solutions, and implementing effective improvements.
- Communication: Ability to communicate effectively with employees across different levels of the organization, including Senior Management.
