AlertMedia is seeking a detail-oriented FP&A Manager to join the Finance team.
Who you are:
You are a talented financial professional with the ability to use your analytical abilities to create financial forecasts, report on and analyze key business metrics and support stakeholders in making business decisions. You have demonstrated in past roles that you can utilize clear communication and collaboration to drive decision making and build trust in an organization. You operate with rigor and high standards and balance that with humility and a growth mindset. You have a desire to build and lead high performing teams.
What you get to do every day:
- Own and maintain the corporate financial model and support stakeholders with key business decisions and provide insight to management
- Lead the analysis of operating and financial results (budget to actuals) as part of the monthly forecast process and ensure accurate and timely completion of all deliverables
- Compile financial and business reports including board and investor packages, bank compliance and other management reporting
- Partner with revenue operations and customer operations teams to track and manage key performance metrics
- Prepare reports related to operational or strategic initiatives, analyze significant variances from planned or forecasted results and provide interpretative comments and recommendations to management
- Lay the foundation for a strong FP&A function by building processes and automation that allow the function to scale as new hires are made (note that this is an IC role to start)
- Support corporate and business development activities
What you bring to the role:
- 6+ years of experience in corporate finance (preferably FP&A), strategic finance, accounting and/or analytics
- Software or technology experience and understanding of SaaS business operating frameworks a strong plus; preference for candidates located in Austin, TX
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial statements
- Ability to leverage analytical tools and statistics to perform analysis and forecasting of financial and other business information; strong financial modeling background required
- Ability to manage competing priorities effectively and build strong relationships with stakeholders across the organization
- Experience leading and building teams is a strong plus
- Excellent verbal and written skills and a keen attention to detail
- Experience working on small teams and track record of being an excellent collaborator
- Advanced Excel skills required. Experience with Salesforce and Netsuite is a plus
- BA/BS Degree in finance, accounting or a related analytical field
