We are seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Financial Settlement Representative to join our fast-moving Financial Operations Team. In this role, you’ll be pivotal in enhancing the financial interactions between our Shipper Sales and Carrier Procurement teams, with the aim of reducing Days Payable Outstanding (DPO) and Days Sales Outstanding (DSO). Your expertise in handling exceptions, managing document workflows, and implementing process improvements will be key to streamlining our operations. With your knack for problem-solving and effective communication, you'll ensure financial transactions are settled accurately and efficiently, reinforcing our commitment to operational excellence. WHAT YOU GET TO DO:
- Audit and approve carrier payments
- Review carrier submitted documentation accuracy, ensuring compliance with payable policy
- Review documents and bills from carriers and resolve discrepancies
- Manage fast-paced, high volume carrier emails
- Understand and diagnose what the billing problem is, and how to fix it
- Provide detailed review of carrier’s aging report
- Work in tandem with the rest of the financial settlement team to reduce our Days Sales Outstanding and Days Payable Outstanding Metrics
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
3+ years of experience in financial operations and accounts payables
Hands-on experience with TMS and audit provider systems
Proven experience in Excel
Strong proactivity and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
Comfortable with daily manual data entry and system updates
Ability to interpret and review contracts and carrier terms
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication and cross-team collaboration skills
Experience with LTL is desirable
