Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dynamic Financial Reporting Senior Accountant to join our global finance team at DTCC, a leading international conglomerate. The Financial Reporting team is responsible for delivering timely, accurate, and reliable financial information, including financial statements and regulatory filings, to applicable regulatory bodies. The Financial Reporting team accomplishes these responsibilities by preparing key analytical data, technical accounting, and reporting guidance, and running and enhancement of reporting systems that facilitate the production of this financial information. 

The Financial Reporting Senior Accountant will provide essential support to the financial reporting team by assisting with the preparation and analysis of financial statements under US GAAP and potentially IFRS, as well as regulatory filings, including the Call Report (FFIEC 041). This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop further within financial reporting and accounting, working within a global team and gaining exposure to various aspects of financial reporting. 

The Financial Reporting Senior Accountant will work closely with senior team members to provide financial reporting support, reporting and variance analysis, debt financing and covenant compliance, regulatory compliance, and process optimization. 

Specific Responsibilities

  • Prepare and file the company’s consolidated and/or stand-alone financial statements for various subsidiaries in accordance with US GAAP [and/or IFRS] 

  • Prepare regulatory capital calculations in accordance with relevant regulations

  • Compile presentations and reports for senior management, committees, and the Board

  • Review and analyze Offering Memorandums (OMs), debt agreements, interest rate hedge activities, and financing documentation to evaluate accounting, disclosure, and reporting implications 

  • Ensure the integrity of accounting records for completeness, accuracy and compliance with accepted accounting policies and principles by performing monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting processes including analyzing monthly financial results and providing actionable items to cross-functional teams

  • Assist in internal and external audits, ensuring adherence to all regulatory requirements and company policies

  • Participate in the overseeing and maintaining of the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial data by analyzing and challenging data compiled in the financial statement reports

  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance financial processes, controls, and systems

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to support business objectives and drive financial reporting compliance

  • Provide guidance and mentorship to less experienced accountants, fostering their professional growth

 

Specific Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting

  • 3-5 years of experience in financial reporting, accounting, or auditing capacity

  • Certified Public Accountant (or equivalent) or on a path to obtain CPA, preferred

  • Working or applied knowledge of US GAAP and familiarity with IFRS, with the ability to independently research, interpret, and apply accounting guidance to routine transactions and reporting matters

  • General understanding of regulatory financial reporting (statements) requirements Strong attention to detail with a high standard of accuracy 

  • Applied knowledge of accounting (e.g., Oracle, FCCS) and/or financial reporting software (e.g., Workiva, Blackline) and Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Power BI 

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

The salary range is indicative for roles at the same level within DTCC across all US locations. Skills Required

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting
