Ibotta is seeking a Financial Reporting Accountant to join our innovative team and contribute to our mission to Make Every Purchase Rewarding. This role will play a key part in driving the success of our business by contributing to the financial close process and building strong cross functional relationships with other departments through ad hoc process improvements.
This position is located in Denver, Colorado as a hybrid position requiring 3 days in office, (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday). Candidates must live in the United States.

What you will be doing:
Execute monthly accounting close procedures (journal entries, reconciliations and analysis) for corporate-related areas, such as debt, equity, revenue, and other areas as needed.
Assist in the preparation of all aspects of SEC reporting, including preparation of Forms 10-K, 10-Q, and 8-K, disclosure checklists, and financial statement tie outs, as well as internal financial reporting to management.
Assist and coordinate with external auditors during audits and interim reviews.
Analyze financial data and collaborate with internal teams to ensure completeness and accuracy of financial information.
Identify and support ad hoc process improvements and implementation projects.
Create process documentation, accounting policies and build schedules to support journal entries and analysis.
Strive to continuously improve and automate the accounting and reporting process and instill proper financial controls, leveraging AI tools as appropriate.
Work with external auditors to ensure successful audit results and compliance.

What we are looking for:
2+ years of public accounting and/or financial reporting experience.
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related field
CPA strongly preferred
Technical Skills: Intermediate Excel skills; experience with NetSuite, Workiva and FloQast preferred.
Strong analytical skills and detail oriented.
Ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment.
Proven GAAP research skills, internal controls and SOX compliance experience preferred.
Solid organizational, written and verbal communication skills required.
Detail-oriented self-starter with excellent problem-solving skills, strong adaptability in a fast-paced environment, and a track record of meeting deadlines.

Additional Details:
This position is located in Denver, CO and includes competitive pay, flexible time off, benefits package (including medical, dental, vision), Employee Stock Purchase Program, and 401k match. Denver office perks include paid parking, snacks, and occasional meals.
Base compensation range: $75,000 - $87,000. This compensation range is specific to the United States labor market and may be adjusted based on actual experience. Total compensation for this role also includes a variable component in addition to base salary.
