About the Role

The role of the FBU Account Manager entails achieving and exceeding the company's annual revenue targets. This goal should be met by aligning customer budgets with the FBU sales plan. You will need to proactively collaborate with the technical team to identify and capitalize on opportunities in existing accounts. Moreover, you will also be responsible for winning back market share for Temenos T24 business. 


To succeed in this role, you must demonstrate confidence and sales expertise to prospects in non-T24 accounts. You are expected to devise innovative sales strategies to drive overall business objectives. Additionally, it is essential to maintain a strong market position by being aware of competitors and you must also maintain a strong relationship with existing customers and generate opportunities for Core banking products. 


In summary, this role requires a proactive approach to business development, strategic sales planning, and customer relationship management in Tanzania.

RequirementsWhat you will do

Sales Revenue Targets Achievement:

  • You are to achieve the Annual Software License Revenue Target consistently on a yearly basis.

  • You meet and exceed annual Software License revenue targets as assigned, being accountable for developing and actualizing customer budgets.

  • You achieve all Annual Maintenance revenue targets in assigned accounts, understanding and aligning customers' internal buying process and budget with the Financial Business Unit sales plan.

  • You will maintain weekly, monthly, and quarterly quota targets, fulfilling commitments to Corporate Management.

Business Development and Sales Strategy:

  • You will collaborate with the technical team to capitalize on opportunities in existing accounts and win back market share for Temenos T24 business.

  • You need to demonstrate confidence, sales experience, and the ability to prospect in non -T24 accounts, identifying new business opportunities beyond off-the-shelf solutions.

  • You will prepare and execute sales plans to drive overall business goals, maintain competitor knowledge, and build a healthy pipeline of business opportunities for growth.

  • You are required to prospect for new business opportunities through daily sales calls, and presenting regular business reviews to the Sales Manager.

Market Positioning and Customer Protection:

  • You have been tasked with promoting the Financial Business Unit's Core banking solution in the industry. To accomplish this, you'll need to have a high degree of market and industry knowledge in IT across financial sectors. 

  • Your multi-product sales background and track record will come in handy as you generate viable pipeline opportunities for non-core banking products. Your aim should be to achieve 3 times the assigned targets. 

  • You must protect the installed base of existing customers and demonstrate your commitment to going to great lengths to safeguard all current or existing FBU customer relationships.

About you

Must Haves: 

  • You possess a minimum of 3 years of business development and account management experience in the BFSI overseeing operations in Tanzania.

  • You have experience selling various core banking solutions. T-24 is an added advantage.

  • You have a strong track record of excellence in achieving sales targets.

  • You have a strong ability to penetrate new accounts and walk your way to the decision-makers.

  • You have a Bachelor’s degree in any related discipline.
