ABOUT EJAM

eJam is a consumer products company that has built, scaled, and exited multiple brands. Our portfolio includes category leaders ranked at the top of Amazon, carried in major retailers nationwide, and sold across DTC, marketplaces, and every channel in between.

We're not a startup hoping something works. We're a team that has done it repeatedly: taken products from zero to eight figures, landed them on retail shelves nationwide, and built real brands that consumers love. We operate like a holding company with the speed of a startup: small teams with real ownership and accountability.

This is the place where you'll see the entire machine, sourcing, product development, packaging, manufacturing, compliance, marketing, marketplace strategy, retail, all under one roof. If you want to be a part of building and shipping consumer products at scale, there is no better place than this.

ABOUT THE ROLE

This is a combined FP&A and treasury role. You will own the reporting and models leadership uses to run the business, and you will own the cash side of the house, the daily position, the short term forecast and the reporting that supports our credit facilities. It is a broad seat with real visibility, reporting directly to the VP of Finance and working alongside the Accounting Supervisor and the brand leads. If you want to see how the money is made and how it moves, in one role, this is that job.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Financial planning and analysis

  • Prepare and refresh recurring management reporting, including monthly P&L packages, KPI dashboards and brand level performance summaries.
  • Build and maintain financial models in Excel covering revenue, gross margin, contribution margin, operating expense and headcount.
  • Perform budget versus actual and period over period variance analysis, and write clear commentary explaining what actually drove the result.
  • Support the annual budget and the rolling forecast, gathering and challenging inputs from brand and functional owners.
  • Analyze product, channel and brand profitability, combining COGS and inventory data from Cin7 with financials from QuickBooks Online.
  • Track marketing efficiency alongside the brand teams, connecting spend to contribution margin rather than revenue alone.
  • Analyze vendor and operating spend trends in Ramp, and flag where cost is running ahead of plan early enough to act.
  • Partner with accounting so reporting ties to the closed books, and help investigate results that do not look right.
  • Build ad hoc analysis for the VP of Finance and brand leadership, turning messy data into a clear, defensible recommendation.

Treasury and cash management

  • Prepare the daily cash on hand and available credit report across all bank accounts, entities and brands.
  • Own the rolling thirteen week cash forecast, updating receipts, disbursements and financing activity as new information arrives.
  • Track expected collections using A/R data from SAI, and expected disbursements using A/P and card data from Ramp.
  • Prepare and route funding transfers between entities and accounts, and monitor balances against target minimums.
  • Reconcile bank activity daily, investigate unidentified deposits, returns and exceptions, and escalate quickly.
  • Support borrowing base reporting, covenant tracking and lender reporting packages under the group's credit facilities.
  • Monitor merchant processor and marketplace settlements, and tie payouts back to the general ledger in QuickBooks Online.
  • Maintain bank administration records, including account documentation, user access and payment approval matrices.
  • Coordinate with payroll so wage, contractor and benefit obligations are funded on time through Deel.

Across both

  • Use Claude to accelerate data cleanup, reconciliation, model documentation and first-draft analysis, then verify the output before it goes out.
  • Replace manual steps with repeatable templates, so recurring reporting gets faster and less fragile each cycle.
  • Document what you build, so the report survives a vacation and does not live only in your head.

SYSTEMS YOU WILL WORK IN

eJam's systems of record are QuickBooks Online (financials), Ramp (accounts payable and corporate cards), SAI (accounts receivable), Deel (PEO and HRIS) and Cin7 (inventory and product COGS), alongside our bank and lender portals. Microsoft Excel is the everyday modeling and reporting tool, and AI, primarily Claude, is part of how this team works rather than an optional extra.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

  • First thirty days, you can produce the daily cash and credit report and the monthly management reporting package independently, and you know where each number comes from.
  • First ninety days, you own the rolling thirteen week cash forecast, and your variance commentary is what leadership reads first.
  • First six months, at least two recurring reports run materially faster than they did before you arrived, and you are surfacing issues to the VP of Finance before he has to ask about them.

COMPENSATION

The salary range for this role is $80,000 to $100,000 per year. Placement within the range depends on experience, skill set and location. eJam is an equal opportunity employer, and all qualified applicants will receive consideration without regard to any characteristic protected by applicable law.

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including complex formulas, pivot tables, data cleanup and models another person can follow.
  • Solid command of the three financial statements and how operating and cash decisions flow through them.
  • Experience building or maintaining a cash forecast, or a genuine appetite to own one.
  • Experience with QuickBooks Online or a comparable accounting system.
  • Comfort using AI tools, primarily Claude, as a working partner, with the judgment to check the output before relying on it.
